    Wonder Woman Spoilery Review

I thought this was the best superhero movie I've seen in years. I admit to being a big MCU fan and liking most of the movies in their lineup. But honestly, Wonder Woman just blew them out of the water by how good it was. For comparison's sake, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger are the...

DOCTOR STRANGE (By the Hoary Hosts of SPOILERS)

Strange is confirmed to appear in Avengers: Infinity War as well. So Benedict Cumberbatch will be acting alongside Robert Downey Jr. Finally, two Sherlocks in one movie. :D Or as some Marvel fans are pointing out:

    Wonder Woman (trailer)

That's a good trailer. But... I'm still pretty wary of anything the DCEU has to offer. Suicide Squad had some fantastic trailers but it turned out to be a bust. I want this film to be good. But after getting burnt by Batman v Superman I'm taking a wait and see approach.

DOCTOR STRANGE (By the Hoary Hosts of SPOILERS)

So yeah. Just watched this, and it was good. I wouldn't rank it as the best Marvel Studios has produced (that would be Civil War), but I'd place it alongside excellent origin films like the first Iron Man and Ant-Man. Just to let everyone know though, I've never been a follower of Doctor...

    Captain America: Civil War (spoilers)

Like I said in my review above, I think this is the best we've seen of Tony Stark in the MCU since the first Iron Man. He's really at his most flawed here and f***s up the situation so much if only because of his ego, as Natasha calls him out on. As much as I disliked Age of Ultron, it rightly...

    Captain America: Civil War (spoilers)

Fat chance of that happening while a certain hack director is at the helm. *cough* SNYDER! *cough*

    Captain America: Civil War (spoilers)

Yeah I agree. It was great No it wasn't just great... it was f***ing awesome. It was more awesome than it had any right to be. And it highlights the fact that Marvel Studios know what the hell they're doing, unlike another studio making comicbook movies that I can name. *cough* DC/Warner...

    Doctor Strange Teaser Trailer

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lt-U_t2pUHI&nohtml5=False Surprised that Cumberbatch went with an American accent, but damn those Inception like visuals look cool. At this point I trust Marvel to pull this off, especially after Ant-Man's success.

    Rogue One trailer

Looks awesome, and with a very different feel to the mainline Star Wars movies, but still keeping the visuals. I especially appreciate the fact that they didn't show Darth Vader in the trailer. It's rumored that he'll be the big bad of the film.

Help me make a better chili

Well I always use this recipe from Saveur: Woody De Silva's Championship Chili I usually substitute the beef chuck with ground beef and let it simmer for 30 minutes instead of the 2 hours stated in the recipe, since the ground beef doesn't require much tenderizing. And I add red beans instead...

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Oh dear...)

Well, I finally watched it. And I had to watch it since I bothered starting this thread. And I thought it sucked. Well, it didn't suck as much as I thought it would. And on the suckiness scale it edges out Man of Steel by virtue of being less sucky. But not by much. So there be my thoughts...

    Your Top 10 Fantasy Movies

Eh... People will think me crazy for saying this, but I thought the 2nd D&D movie was worst than the first. I know I know... The first movie had Marlon Wayans being useless and Jeremy Irons hamming it up, but at least Irons was fun to watch! :D The 1st movie is of the 'So Bad It's Good'...

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Oh dear...)

I don't hate Zack Snyder. I've given him numerous chances to prove me wrong. As I said before, I enjoyed 300. Watchmen however, left me cold. And I still watched Man of Steel in theaters in the hopes that critics were being unusually harsh on it. Boy was I wrong, that movie was a pain to watch...

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Oh dear...)

The Dark Knight Returns is completely the wrong material to take inspiration from. For one, it's a future storyline that focuses on a much older Batman. The conflict there between Supes and Bats has some emotional weight because of their shared history together, whereas Dawn of Justice is...

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Oh dear...)

Well that's your opinion man. Personally I think it was a mistake to have Snyder direct Watchmen and Man of Steel, as his 'style' was a wrong fit for both properties. I will admit to liking 300. But hey, it's Frank Miller, and I think his grim n' gritty comics fits Snyder's style quite well.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Oh dear...)

Which was a problem with Snyder's Watchmen as well. As grim as the comic was, it didn't have muted brown colors that Snyder filtered his adaptation with. The violence was fetishized and stylistic when the comic emphasized realism and consequences of vigilante justice. And whatever genuine human...

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Oh dear...)

Down to 33% I see. Thanks a lot Zack Snyder.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Oh dear...)

For me, the God connotations with Superman I think are part of the problem. He's just too powerful that I think maybe they should depower him a bit. Perhaps bring him back to his power levels in the Golden Age, as depicted best in the Fleischer Animated Shorts...

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Oh dear...)

I don't think a 'batman spin' is required to examine Superman's flawed humanity. You can keep the mythic dimension of Superman while exploring the flaws in his character, which I think Richard Donner did well in the Christopher Reeve films. The flaw being Superman's love for Lois, leading him to...
