[Arts & Crafts] DIY dungeon tiles - printing & mounting advice

Are you making these because WotC's Dungeon Tiles don't meet your specific needs? Because I would think that the cost of time, supplies, printer ink, etc. to make one's own dungeon tiles would far exceed the cost of just buying them at $10 a pack.

Is anyone interested in playing some good ol' fashioned D&D? I figure if no one is going to run it, I might have to :)

What are the no-goes for you?

I'm really surprised and honestly a bit baffled by the large laundry lists of "no-goes" that some people are posting here. It seems like some gamers have an awful lot of hang-ups, both in-game and out-of-game, that are so significant that they are dealbreakers (as in, these people will walk out...

Tell me about your favorite game store

I liked it a lot better before they remodeled about a year or so ago. My favorite: YOTTAQUEST, Mt. Healthy, Ohio http://www.yottaquest.com This is one of the biggest things I miss about living in Cincinnati. Yottaquest is about 15 minutes outside of downtown Cincinnati. There's everything...

    Sell me a dice pouch!

Hi - I have a handmade chainmail dice bag (steel links) with a leather drawstring. I would be willing to sell it or trade for D&D books or minis. PM me if you are interested and I'll send you a picture of it.

    everyone in group taking 'leadership'?

Good ideas here. I'm a pretty liberal DM. I allow players to take anything they want from any officially published WotC 3rd Edition book. The -one- thing I have banned is Leadership.

Adventurer's Vault - What do you think?

I like Adventurer's Vault, but I have to add my voice to the many that have lamented the relative lack of mundane weapons and equipment. The cynic in me would say that this was deliberate in order to sell another book (perhaps Arms & Equipment Guide 4E?)

    Can't find the new FRCS

Every Barnes & Noble around here (Columbus Metro) has the 3 4E Core Books and the first two adventures (H1-H2) but not the newer books (including the FRCS). It's as if they haven't ordered the last 2 months of stuff. The Borders does have everything, but I don't get 20% off at Borders!

    More D&D-scale poster maps?

There have been a few 1" scale poster maps included with issues of Dragon and Dungeon magazines. I've been trying to hunt them all down. I'm sorry I can't give issue numbers (I bought the magazines just for the maps and then recycled them) but they shouldn't be difficult to locate. My favorite...

Question for Players: Commercial or Homebrew?

I very strongly prefer playing and DMing in published, commercial settings. I strongly agree with many of the points raised by Gizmo in this thread, and I do understand that it's not really a popular position. The homebrew campaigns that I've played in have been uniformly disastrous. Every...

DDXP to be in Pittsburgh next year

Well, I was excited about going (Pittsburgh is 2.5 hours from me), but that excitement was instantly dashed when I realized it was Valentine's Day weekend. Whose painfully stupid idea was this? Thanks, WotC, for making (some) gamers choose between DDXP and their significant others.
