Is there any guidance for equipping new level 10 characters? With regards to magic items, I mean? We’re much more familiar at playing at lower levels, where magic item variance isn’t such a big deal. But I’d expect characters at levels 10 to 20 might be expected to have a larger magic haul...

Oh don’t get me wrong. I may be gently poking fun, but it comes from a place of definite love. This was my era of D&D art, and it will always have a special place in my heart. As much as I love the current art, you never forget your first love :).

Based on the signature, it looks like Clyde Caldwell, actually. But you aren’t wrong about the armour and the vibes. Sums up a lot of art from that era really…silly armour and awesome vibes :).

That’s a pretty absolutist statement about a game that can have arcane and divine magic, extra dimensional beings, supernatural capital-letter Good and Evil, and can have spiritual rules which differ greatly setting to setting. Personally, saying Warforged have souls was probably the easiest...
