I prefer dice without a bunch of artwork on the face, just the number. I also like the number to be in high contrast to the background. I pretty much just get Chessex dice.

That's correct, this thread is about FFG buying L5R. I was just noting how WotC has been real slow about doing anything with D&D while trying to get as much out of the brand through merchandising and other stuff. With the recent planned closing of the community site, it is looking like WotC...

One good thing with this purchase is that FFG can produce a non-licensed property. All their stuff other than the survival RPG is licensed. Their Twiter feed pretty much confirmed they are going to do an RPG. Star Wars took some time after they got the license. I don't mind the Star Wars dice...

They have not released it yet as PDF. I would be surprised if they did not release it at some point. It used cards for part of the game mechanic. If they did not include the cards in PDF, it would probable make the game unplayable.
