A titan of the industry whose essence is suffused into the history of the game. I will miss him dearly.

Pathfinder 1E 1e Paladin's Aura of Justice: OP?

Not sure what the situation is over there, but the way you describe it seems like you have free rein to walk up to the BBEG and have free access to them. A BBEG should always have a screen of minions to prevent a rush, it might not prevent you from getting to them but more bodies in front does...

EN World is 20 Years Old!

Happy anniversary! I've been around since its early years, and I'm very proud of how far this place has come. Though I don't comment much here anymore, I still check the content every single day and look forward to seeing what new delights this place will bring!

    D&D 3E/3.5 Multiclassing in D&D 3rd Edition

Honestly, one of my group's most ignored rules was the multiclassing XP penalty. A level 1/1/1/1/1 cleric/wizard/bard/sorcerer/rogue (just an example, not anything actually viable) was nowhere near the power of any other Lvl 5 character, and having an XP penalty on top of that was ludicrous...

TSR Jim Ward: SSI, Dungeons & Dragons and the Computer Industry

And the load times. Good lord, the load times! But it was worth every moment waiting in order to play them. Pop in a disk, go get a snack while the game loads up, play for hours.

Wendy’s Presents: Feast of Legends (a Late Night Review)

From a marketing standpoint, this is rather brilliant. It's thematically appropriate, actually shows understanding of RPGs with a fairly balanced system, and actually ties the eating of Wendy's and other foods into the mechanics by rewarding those who eat their food and penalized players at the...

I remember the good old days when vinyl maps were included in the boxed sets. Still have the old Greyhawk map, which I carefully take out from time to time.

    4 Things I Saw At Dragonmeet 2018

The Big Book of Battle Maps looks amazing, though I'm a little concerned that figures won't be able to sit easily on the squares beside the binding. Does the spiral stay down flat enough that this wouldn't be an issue?

Pathfinder 2E Here's The Pathfinder 2nd Edition Skill List!

What slightly confuses me is that being trained in Medicine allows you to Treat Disease, but the skill feat Legendary Medic allows you to remove it. Are they the same? Or is it that Treat Disease lets you alleviate the symptoms temporarily without getting rid of it permanently?

Just How Immersive Can You Get?

I think that the Second Level is missing a prime example, which is Joel Rosenberg's Guardians of the Flame series. In it, college students play a D&D-like game and are mystically transported into the fantasy world inside the bodies of their characters. They're able to use all the skills of their...
