    D&D 5E Is D&D 90% Combat?

I'm running a Detective D&D game. It's not even close to 90% combat. Probably a third of it is combat. Lots of investigation, clues, social situations, chases, research, etc. It can be done but you have to build around it and run it like a White Wolf game. Using Patrons and having the PCs...

D&D 5E Rebooting d20 Modern With Everyday Heroes

The book says "Everyday Heroes" but the art is saying everyday cosplay. The fireman looks like he's posing for a calendar.

Netflix losing Marvel shows Feb 28 - Daredevil , Luke Cage , Jessica Jones, etc

I'll be happy if they leave and Disney continues the Defenderverse. Charlie Cox makes a good fit for Daredevil.

D&D 5E Spells that have disappeared...

Glitterdust, my favorite 3e spell since it qas an AOE that ignored Magic Resistance, eliminated invisibility, and gave a -40 stealth penalty. I shut down many encounters, especially golem encounters, with one well-placed Glitterdust. Those were the days.

D&D 5E Enhancing "The Wild Beyond the Witchlight"

The "insert image" function should work. You could also use shared drive, like Google Drive, and post the link.

    TTRPGS, Blockchains, and NFTs

I did track the "0.5%" source back to a prediction that was repeated as a fact in many articles. That was my point for asking the source. Here's the prediction: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/05/180516131236.htm Predictions are not facts, especially when they don't come true. And...

    TTRPGS, Blockchains, and NFTs

Well they maybe you should pitch that to Kickstarter. Really compelling stuff here. In the meantime, they have no electronic ledgers that can be used offsite.

D&D 5E Curse of Strahd Class Advice (No Spoilers Please)

I'd go with an Arcane Caster. Are you willing to try something different? Two Arcane caster options that would be good for Curse of Stradh are the Celestial Warlock and Divine Soul Sorcerer. Both get access to healing spells and radiant attacks. Also, you can attack at range and avoid the...

    D&D (2024) Fighters and Tools

When I read this I immediately thought about The Mandalorian. PC Fighters are not average yokels who are proficient with a longsword. They're highly trained and exceptionally skilled. It would be great if they had tool proficiencies to show for it. A class feature like Indomitable but usable...

    TTRPGS, Blockchains, and NFTs

Kickstarter and blockchain were part of the Enworld discussion a while back when it was first rumored. I supported Kickstarter using blockchain way back when it was just a rumor because I've had problems with purchases that extended offsite. That is not Kickstarter's fault but it could be...

    Dr. Strange 2 Trailer Madness

I couldn't make it past the second episode. The first episode was lazy and cringe inducing. By episode two I decided I've had enough. Hopefully this is better than "What If". It already looks better so that's a start.

    D&D 5E How 'magical" in your game/setting?

The voting list is inadequate for describing my campaign. The magic in my campaign has length and girth.

    TTRPGS, Blockchains, and NFTs

Governments, and who controls them, decide who qualifies for bailouts. And I say "who" and not "what" because that's what happens. People are getting bailed out of bad decisions they made. Not the people of the countries who are forced to pay for the bailouts. Regular people don't want it...

    TTRPGS, Blockchains, and NFTs

Denialism is a religious statement, not a scientific one. Science is not a matter of lots and lots of people wearing the same coat agreeing, nor is science a fallacy from authority. Those things you described are closer to a religious cult than repeatable, predictable, real world methodology...

    TTRPGS, Blockchains, and NFTs

Thanks for the fear mongering. Sounds like a very well constructed talking point. Meanwhile, all of us were forced to pay for very well regulated economic crashes in the not-so-Wild West. If Bit Coin crashes none of us will be forced to bail it out by our wise and benevolent rulers and...

    TTRPGS, Blockchains, and NFTs

    1) If you quote me then at least make it relevant to my post. 2) They are different things, and I'm not talking about NFTs. You'll notice I'm still not. You are. And this is exactly what I mean by fear mongering. What's the source on that claim? Saying something and proving it are two...

    TTRPGS, Blockchains, and NFTs

In case anyone reading this wants to know how scripted the "arguments" are in response to the critics of cryptocurrency/blockchain, Abstruse literally ignored the fact that I never once mentioned NFTs, yet lumped everything together.
