Background idea's for a Ifrit Sorcerer

People will tell you fire is the worst type of spell damage, as statistically, more monsters are fireproof than lightning or acidproof. While this is true, it doesn't actually make it bad. Still, have some nonfirey options available at all times. Now, efreet are tricksters and also associated...

    New player help

Looking at your party, you have A LOT of up close power but the only one who can do anytyhing significant at range is the ranger (assuming he's going bow style). You have a real Divine theme to your party. The Zen archer gives plenty of attacks and your arrows scale up with your unarmed damage...

Gunslinger Prestige Class and lv5 effective builds

Half elf Gunslinger 1/ Synthesist 4 Feats: Rapid Reload, Multiweapon Fighting, Precise Shot Put favored class bonus into evo points. Get 2 arms evolutions totalling 6 arms on a biped. I don't have to tell you what to do with those 6 arms. IIRC guns are touch attacks at close range so to hit...

So.... goblins. 200 vs. a 4th level party. Who are the standouts?

My books have lied to me:eek: Lol thanks for that. This is what I get for reading too much fictions. Could the local jails even handle someone with enough levels for a Prc? It would be hilarious for the Paladin to jail( or any let live option) Goren only to have him escape and drop a note at...

So.... goblins. 200 vs. a 4th level party. Who are the standouts?

Jail? As I remember how medieval governing works, people who didn't swear fealty to the local lord weren't provided any degree of protection by the law and therefore, the killing of Goren wouldn't be against any laws except those set by Foureyes. Somehow, I doubt he'd have a problem with that...

So.... goblins. 200 vs. a 4th level party. Who are the standouts?

Instead of plain old spheres, have the sorc's magic missiles look like screaming angry goblin heads. A goblin 'druid' and his wolves. He keeps them in a cage and when the PCs near, he releases them and orders them to 'attack'. The wolves proceed to eat the surrounding goblins before he...

So.... goblins. 200 vs. a 4th level party. Who are the standouts?

A Tucker goblin, who is all alone down a corridor and mocks the party from behind total cover, he has the corridor trapped to all Baator and when the PCs are close enough he junps up dramatically and pulls a lever tripping all the traps. Alchemist fire suddenly blocks the corridor both ways...

Pathfinder 1E What would be a good "Pathfinder Bonus" for a Swordsage?

Best thing you can do for the swordsage is give him the Warblade recovery mechanic. Diamond Mind will need some tweaking what with the slightly altered skill system. The bonded weapon idea sounds good. Beware of the sheer amount of doom doubling up on Martial Studied White Ravens can cause though.

Pathfinder 1E Making my first Pathfinder character...

Remember, just because you chose one fighting style doesn't mean you can't use the other. In PF you get enough feats with a Ranger that it is actually viable to go both ranged and meelee at the same time( perhaps literally if you can get an extra set of arms). For example, take the Archery...

Pathfinder 1E Making my first Pathfinder character...

One word. Ooze. There are some things you just don't wanna touch with your bare hands. And it really costs you nothing to just keep carrying your starting quarterstaff with you. Also, there are various uses for a long stick. You can tie two together for an 10 foot pole, use it to test out...

Pathfinder 1E Making my first Pathfinder character...

Not really a big deal right. You can just use it as normal really. Just be on the look out. There is SOMETHING going on with monk over at Paizo and when they DO make a new ruling, it could be for better or worse. Also, you lose nothing by having a weapon as a monk since you kicks, and pretty...

Pathfinder 1E Making my first Pathfinder character...

I'm not entirely sure... For normal people it still works just fine, well, as well as it usually works, but I think some rules lawyers found a problem in the new errata or something and started flaming, eventually leading to mass bans on the paizo forums.

Pathfinder 1E Making my first Pathfinder character...

Monk is experiencing the equivalent of an update patch induced bug. Rangers can make use of a quarterstaff too( and as a bonus, gets the whole woodsman feel and some arcane abilities). Also, Friar tuck isn't that type of monk.

    Crafty question

This is the situation: I have Craft Wondrous Items and wish to craft a Druids Vestment for our Druid. We can collaborate to craft it, with him providing the prerequisites(wildshaping). Do I still take the +5 penalty to craft it? If I don't where does it say so? My DM interprets the crafting...

    Character Choices for a Newbie

Arcane Necromancy isn't really what you think it is. An arcane necromancer is generally a debuffer. One who inflicts negative status effects on enemies. Because of how undead minions are handled, it is usually only feasible to become a zombielord through the Cleric or Dread Necro classes. Also...

    Pathfinder 1E First pathfinder character

Optimization is REALLY not that relevant unless you hit the high/low ends or are in an intentionally high Op game where you generally fight things near double your level and crazy stuff like that. Eg. Max Op Wiz/ Thrown together monk. You should (usually) have a fun time regardless of your Op...

Does the Summoner even need spells?

I think what you wanna do is mash up the archetypes. Have you seen Evolutionist? I suppose you could give a summoner benefits of both archetypes and take away spellcasting, but maybe keep some way to counter dispelling?

Building a Monk/Summoner. Help me tweak him out?

Note that most of the bonuses of monks belt are given by advancing your Eidolon in the first place (damage and AC), only less so. That said, I've looked at the styles and dragon DOES look pretty good for a striker. And flurry is hardly a painful loss. Ask your DM if you can apply reach to your...

Building a Monk/Summoner. Help me tweak him out?

I might not be getting something but when a barbarian rages and gains Con, he also gains hp. I thought the summoner would also gain hp from increasing his Con(your Con goes up when you Eidolon is dismissed due to damage because the Eidolon's lower Con score is no longer replacing your own). This...
