[4e][OOC] Clash of Steel [13th level]

Sounds good to me, either way.

[4e] drothgery's arcane game - Clash of Steel

Soril "I prefer pixies to cats..." Soril says to no one in particular. "Right. I'd like to go inspect the ambush site. Maybe they're waiting for some more 'victims'". He says and then nods towards Althaea and Vanri. "Want to come with me while they're chasing cats?"

Leif's "Revenge of the Giants" [4E] [OOC 01]

We're Striker heavy, so not having more than one Leader shouldn't be a problem. If we were Controller or Defender heavy I might get worried. My current home group (Essentials Only) has 2 Leaders, 1 Controller, 2 Strikers, and 1 Defender. We've got lots of healing but with our low damage output...

[4e] drothgery's arcane game - Clash of Steel

Soril "Where did the ambush happen?" Soril says as wisps of smoke appear behind his back, his instinct to react to danger with violence kicking in. He pauses and wills the smoke to disappear and his hands relax, though he switches his rod to his left hand. "Never trusted the cats in the first...

Leif's "Revenge of the Giants" [4E] [OOC 01]

Checking in! I like the Sorcerer/Warlord/Monk traveling group. Sounds like the start of a joke. --- While Sariel and Heise conducted their business in the tavern, Althous sat on the porch outside and talked with the horses tethered to the posts. "Tch. Your shoes weren't made for you, were...

    D&D 4E Leif's "Revenge of the Giants" [4E] [RG]

Name: Althous Race: Human Alignment: Good (Chaotic Good) Class: Monk (Centered Breath) Paragon Path: Ghostwalker Background: Artisan Theme: Knight Hospitaler Image Temple of the Seven Fortunes The path to inner peace is often a conflicted road. Before one may understand tranquility one must...

[4e][OOC] Clash of Steel [13th level]

My mistake, I thought this was a different skill challenge, not a continuation of the old one. Carry on!

[4e] drothgery's arcane game - Clash of Steel

Soril "Do you have an idea of where the leaders of this rebellion might be living?" He asks. "If not that, then who are the people that are carrying out the attacks? Where do they stay? How you speak of them...makes it seem as though they are directing from the shadows." He smiles at her...

Malvoisin's Slumbering Tsar Saga Discussion [PFRPG]

If you're still taking interest it looks like you don't have a Thief yet. Mind if I make one?

Leif's "Revenge of the Giants" [4E] Recruiting

Nice. I envision Althous fighting style as less Crouching Tiger and more Incompetent Enemies. Accidentally leaning over at the right moment because he had an itch which leads to the bad guy slamming his axe into his ally instead, etc.

Leif's "Revenge of the Giants" [4E] Recruiting

Yeah, that's one of the downsides of Monks. Kinda ironic too that they're not very good with melee basic attacks. They're awesome at intricate styles and difficult maneuvers...but simply punching someone? That's hard.

Leif's "Revenge of the Giants" [4E] Recruiting

Sure, not a problem for Althous. Waterdeep and Myth Drannor aren't that far apart, and he's been doing a bit of wandering the past few years. I think her unique style of fighting would make for an interesting traveling partner, commanding yet young warlord and a contemplative blacksmith. Sounds...

[4e] drothgery's arcane game - Clash of Steel

Soril Sharing Tatterdemalion's dislike for felines, Soril stands behind the chair the pixie is sitting in. "When the Empire wants this city stabilized it will send its troops and enforce order...though it might not be the kind you like." Soril says. "Until then, I suppose you'll deal with us."...

[4e] drothgery's arcane game - Clash of Steel

Soril Standing in the great plaza, Soril watches as his companions head out into the city to follow their own leads. "Pretty faces work better the first time you ask questions. Save my own method for later." Taking his ease on a bench against the wall, Soril watches the people go about their...

[4e] drothgery's arcane game - Clash of Steel

Soril "I'm no Imperial." Soril says to the Lady. "And I don't fight for gold." He tilts his head to the side for a moment as if reconsidering. "Though coin in hand is a nice bonus after the battles won." "I would advise your Council to find the resources to guard the docks. You've made parts...

Leif's "Revenge of the Giants" [4E] Recruiting

The Monk is a deceptive striker. He often works best when surrounded by enemies and he'll probably end up with the highest in-combat AC of the whole group. Though his AC is normally 28, there's a couple of factors that will make it pass the defenders. His main tactic is to slide enemies...

Leif's "Revenge of the Giants" [4E] Recruiting

The theme doesn't add much in ways of skills or other fiddly things. I've copied the abilities and put them in a spoiler on my character app post, and I'll repost it here as well. Knight Hospitaler Knight Hospitaler Starting Feature (1st level): You gain the shield of devotion power. Knight...

Leif's "Revenge of the Giants" [4E] Recruiting

The Knight Hospitaler theme isn't essential, so I haven't added it to his sheet. I'll still probably use the idea behind it for RP purposes, but the mechanics aren't needed though would be interesting.

Leif's "Revenge of the Giants" [4E] Recruiting

The Knight Hospitaler theme (Dragon 399) would fit with Althous. The fluff of the theme, a "religious order of compassionate warriors sworn to provide care and comfort to the poor, the sick, and the injured" is in line with the Temple of Seven Fortunes. As a traveling monk of his temple he'd be...
