I love and still play 2nd edition ad&d today, in fact I have a game scheduled Saturday. It is all about mechanics and setting. Choose a newer system with different mechanics and you still got people sitting around a table coming up with stories and solutions to problems. It's been a long time...

They are and you can, but alignments are old and everything becomes chaotic neutral in real-life anyways. I don't have a lot of dragons in my games because the ecosystem involved has to support them. I played in a game where I knew more dragons than npcs and it cheapened it for me. Gold...

I've never played a SW rpg other than WEG 2nd. I think my love for star wars has run its course, and the mutterings of early middle age lingering on the horizon made me jaded. Not to mention the prequel.
