I do think it's strange that they haven't really had a central long running plot, I mean there's the general Centipede/Clairvoyant thing but it's not really detailed or engaging.

I'm really liking the new 20th anniversary editions of all the books and they seem to be a huge success if the Kickstarter is anything to judge by. I like having all the content in a single book and am now in my third year of running a V20 Masquerade larp.

I'm completely sick of the save the world plot, also pretty sick of playing a stereotypical hero. I would much rather play a peasant struggling to achieve small but personal things than be involved in huge world changing events.

I prefer that players not change characters but at the same time the purpose of the game is to be fun. If someone's not having fun then the GM should be addressing whatever the issue is. In your case, I would look at why the current character isn't fun and whether it can be altered to make it...
