I have windows 7 on my desktop and I use its (dated) version of IE. Works like a charm to this day, but can confirm no other browser works. Just checked IE on my Win10 laptop. This is probably the first time I've ever used IE on this thing, and can confirm that the character builder works 100%.

My only gripe with D&D Beyond at this stage is that I can't increase the listings per page. I really don't like having to load webpages while searching. But yeah, that's my only gripe. Product seems good so far.

Right now it's definitely 4th edition. It just works perfectly for our group. That being said, we've done two sessions of the Starter Set now and we're really into it. 5e might match or even exceed 4e soon, tho I still have my doubts.

I think that if you assume the DM has some system mastery and that some spells are going to stick in your mind, you can dumb it down even further: Fireball (3rd Lvl; DC14, 8d6, dex save halves)
