Well, it can't hurt to at least follow the project, right? That's not saying I'm going to buy anything. I'm just going to follow it is all. 🥵

My budget is pretty tapped out at this point, but these are exactly the sort of thing I miss in the new adventure books (new meaning 5e in general). I loved the old adventures from AD&D timeframe where it felt like each adventure was its own short story. Sort of like a monthly Conan adventure...

I was 13 and got my first job as a dishwasher (made 3.85 an hour, under the table, ie tax free!!) and blew my entire first paycheck on D&D stuff. One thing I bought was a box of Ral Partha minis! I loved them so much.

Oh wow- incredible! Does it have different mutant animals like the original? Like you can be a mutant cheetah or something? I loved that!

Here’s the 4 different sculpts mostly done. I’ll probably touch them up a little tomorrow. But they’re goofy and endearing and now that I painted them I’m even more fond of them. The simplicity is appealing for sure.

For Christmas I got an 8 pack of orcs. The sculpts are pretty terrible, but I thought there was something appealing about them anyway, so I’m having fun painting them up. Here’s the first guy.

It worked- it gave them a real sense of depth- it seems like a glass globe with something floating inside. Totally nailed it!

Those look great. The glass globes holding the brains (I assume) came out particularly well!

I was gifted “The Dark of Hot Springs Island” for Christmas. It’s super cool looking. I’m not sure what I think about the cover art. Maybe I’ll get used to it. But the content is sure neat. (Spoilered an image of the cover because there’s a bare berry blue butt.)

Wow, he looks so cool! I'm thinking you need a spellcaster buddy that casts enlarge on your character to really require the use of this epic mini! At this point, it's not a mini, it's a maxi I think. :)
