Orb of Imposition Save modifier question

Hmm...it appears that all this time I was reading Orb mastery wrong. I had always just presumed that the save penalty only applied to One Roll, like the other two implement masteries. I can see design arguments on both sides of that one...but I see why it's overall more powerful than the others...

    Ritual Components

There's a mention (I can't remember where, but probably in the PHB) about the weight of Residuum as compared to gold coins (highly indicating that simplest/lightest way to carry your wealth is to do so in dust rather than gold), but I can't remember the page ref. Nor do I recall anything about...

One creature in burst and concealment

Rat Swarms are heinous at level 1 if you're crazy enough to think that "being different" and not taking Scorching Burst or Thunderwave on your wizard is a great idea. ...hurray for Retraining being core... ...or so I heard.

    Staff implement one-handed?

Well, I'm satisfied. I just wanted to know whether the Second Implement Mastery feat was going to even be an option for me should this game last long enough for my Dwarven staff wizard to make it paragon.

    Staff implement one-handed?

Is there a page ref from the PHB that says you can "wield" a staff implement one-handed? I've seen it suggested somewhere, but couldn't find any mention of it. Visually, I can see the wizard wielding the staff with both hands, but mechanically it just wouldn't jive if Staff wizards were left out...

    Dragonborn Ecology up at WotC

Isn't a Burst 2 the same area as a Blast 5? More to the point...isn't the enlarged breath weapon heroic feat a Blast 5? Therefore, isn't the Burst 2 range feat better than the Blast 5 feat? Or wait...the ranged one will provoke AoO from those right in front of you, right?

    The Iron Mage (WotST build)

Looking at it more closely, it says you can use the longsword as a specific type of implement when casting spells, which would seem to rule out the staff mastery trick (reducing overall AC by 1 and negating the potential for +Con against one attack per encounter), but it's still a nifty concept...

    The Iron Mage (WotST build)

I thought the spiral tower paragon path merely allowed you to use a longsword AS an implement. Does it actually have wording that allows you to use it a) as an implement Of Your Choice or b) as a Specific implement (which one would presumably choose the implement or an implement in which one has...
