Conan and Cthulhu; low magic; Dark!

Football, Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, NASCAR... The "fanboys", that I know, of these sports are just as bad (and in many cases, even worse) at "adulting" than most of the gamers I know. I won't even bring up the party boys that go out & drink 2, 3, 4 + nights a week...

You know, I went over to The Lore Observer's Kickstarter for 100 Maps of Fantasy Islands, solely in hope of finding a video that started with "Welcome, to Fantasy Islands!"

Gift cards to FLGS... Even my wife doesn't know all the gaming goodies I have stashed away. Not that I'm hiding them - we have LOTS of gaming stuff - she just doesn't really keep track. I would expect my gaming group(s) would have even a less of an idea of all the stuff I own! Bill

I'll add my rant... Went to the store close to where I live (within a mile) & was told I could pick one item out "if I bought something" (!). I won't be visiting that store again, ever.

How things change... Back in the early 80's, I was asked to be an Adviser to an Explorer Post (a branch of scouting for young adults - both male and female) that was going to devoted to gaming. When the local scouting administration found out that this would include D&D, they shut the whole...

Here's one of my favorites that I created for my Primeval Thule campaign: Gröll: A beer brewed by the Nimothans. Served hot on cold days, warmed gröll can also be mixed with bread or grain to make a stand-alone meal... a beer-porridge of sorts. Bill W.

Here's hoping that there will be a spell-less Ranger in this book, and a spell-less Bard, too... ...I want less magic in my game, not more! It's way easier to house-rule a class (or whatever) to add magic to it, than it is to deconstruct and remove its integral "magicness".

Cool! One for me please...

Because Aliens. That's what I liked about the 1st edition of this game. The world seemed to be functioning fine & dandy - somewhat "normally" - until you started stumbling on Dark Secrets... Transforming it into just another post-apocalyptic setting doesn't really push my buttons.
