D&D General Forgotten Realms geographic changes.

As mentioned a few pages back, I think you could go with Al-Andalus (Muslim-ruled part of southern Europe) as a template. My memories are a bit vague at this point, but Calimshan/Calimport didn't strike me as purely Islamic, but rather a mixture of influences.

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

True. I guess, I'd better buy Corp Borg next, then.

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

Completed my Ars Magica 5 collection over at Bundle of Holding. I should have every book now, so I only need to wait for about 25 years until I can retire and have enough time to run the game 🙃

Thread Not Found (Unless I Log Out)

This already exists if you disable the "remove ignored content" checkbox in your settings. But the design in Xenforo is maybe a bit too subtle, as you only get a very small grey text indicating that there is ignored content and you need to click/tap it to reveal the actual posts. This is what...

    Blog or Newsletter?

Thinking about my own consumption habits, it's a bit tricky - I do read blog articles and often enjoy them (mostly in the OSR sphere), but this is only when they are posted or recommended by someone I follow on social media (mostly Twitter and a bit of Bluesky); newsletters on the other hand I...

What you could try is disabling the removal of ignored content in your settings. Maybe this would at least show you the thread.

D&D 5E The German Government Wants Similar to BG3 Developed In Germany

AAA publishers don't really need to partner with a German dev studio - if they are interested, they can buy it. And they probably are not going to both with the constraints and necessary reporting to the German government for "just" 1 or 2 Million Euros.

D&D 5E The German Government Wants Similar to BG3 Developed In Germany

I think that's the main problem: there's certainly enough talented developers and artists over here, but there are simply no German game studios in the AAA league. And judging from past experiences, the funding provided by the government is not even remotely in the area of a typical modern AAA...

Asmodee Owner To Split Into 3 Companies

License seems to be with Gallant Knight Games (at least they are apparently planning a second edition of OpenD6 - see this reply to my comment on Twitter). I'd doubt they have the money for the license, though. If anything, a 5e version of Star Wars seems more likely to me (I would personally...

D&D (2024) How excited are you for the new 2024 edition d&d?

Yeah, that one is the best 5e version I'm aware of. I have another one that says it's a d20 game, but I don't remember from where I got it.

D&D (2024) How excited are you for the new 2024 edition d&d?

I think I still would not be super enthusiastic because of the 5e rules as a foundation, but if they e.g. did an official adaptation of Mass Effect or a 5e version of Gamma World, I would probably check it out.
