D&D 5E The Official 5E Version Of Doctor Who Is Coming In Just 2 Weeks!

A third is a massive chunk of the rules. There's nowhere near that amount of person-to-person combat in a standard Doctor Who story - avoiding combat by running or talking the character's way out of it? Yes. Actual fighting? No. AC would be almost entirely irrelevant as a stat, yet there it...

D&D 5E The Official 5E Version Of Doctor Who Is Coming In Just 2 Weeks!

I see what you mean, "bandwagon jumping" would probably be a better phrase to use. It's just that for me, D&D is a particular type of game with an atmosphere and style that doesn't really mesh with the Doctor Who universe. But that could just be me. I've got a lot of time for Cubicle 7...

D&D 5E The Official 5E Version Of Doctor Who Is Coming In Just 2 Weeks!

I can see your point, but from my own POV, learning a new system is all part of the fun of RPG's.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds, what did you think?

Agreed. Jim Kirk was indeed never a "maverick". He just had the ability (and the backup from the likes of Spock, Dr McCoy and Scotty) to circumvent problems and be a lot more flexible than his contemporaries.

D&D 5E The Official 5E Version Of Doctor Who Is Coming In Just 2 Weeks!

I honestly don't see the need for this. Cubicle 7 already have a Doctor Who RPG, which renders a D&D one totally superfluous. I'm also struggling to see how the 5e system, with it's heavy emphasis on hand-to-hand combat fits the setting and types of character. Is this just an attempted...

Star Trek Strange New Worlds, what did you think?

I don't know... it was revealed in Wrath Of Khan that he'd beaten the Kobyashi Maru test, and the only way he could have done that was by cheating. He was also Starfleet's youngest ever captain at the point we first meet him in ST, so he's not strictly "by-the-book" at any point, but he's...

Star Trek Strange New Worlds, what did you think?

Just watched the finale back-to-back with Balance Of Terror. One of the best of an excellent series. I was actually surprised by how much smaller Kirk's Enterprise is generally. The bridge, Captain's quarters and the corridors are much tighter in the original. One thing, though... why would...

    2000AD Lawgiver ammunition ranges

Thanks for clearing that up. That makes a lot more sense. As you can tell, it was confusing me somewhat (always read the thing properly, kids! Skimming is not always good!)

    2000AD Lawgiver ammunition ranges

Is it just me or do the ranges for the Lawgiver ammunition types seem really short? For example, the Incendiary only has a range of 8'. That would be well inside the resulting fireball. As for the stun round, at 3', you may as well keep the lawgiver holstered and hit them with your daystick...

2000AD Inspiration: Judge Dredd "Toxic" IDW Comic

I've managed to find pdf copies of the old Games Workshop Judge Dredd RPG. I've just started translating the Judgement Day scenario into WOIN and updating it, since I'm setting my games in 2140. Any suggestions on how to run Wally Squad? I'm really wanting to get Dirty Frank in there somehow...
