Players choose what their PCs do . . .

So, HOW is it ambiguous? You have NOT stated how that is so

Players choose what their PCs do . . .

ambiguous: doubtful or uncertain especially from obscurity or indistinctness. NO it is NOT ambiguous at all. That is how it is mostly done in RPGs. The player decides describes what his character is doing or trying to do. THEN the GM takes over and describes the results.

Is it possible for one person to create their own table top game, setting and all?

Yes. Explain? Well, it has been done countless times in the past. Most RPing games you now play started this way.:erm:

Marriage Vow wording question- "Till Death Do You Part" in a world with Resurrection magic.

Considering that for 99.999% of the population "resurrection magic" is not a factor I doubt there would be real impetus to change the wording you are worried about.

Try to find someone to give you DMing lessons if that is the limit of your repertoire

    Challenging assumptions/tactics while giving hints

I play with adults (no matter their real age) and if they aren't mature enough to not meta-game they are gone. Pretty simple.

How long does it take to generally take to set a campaign up

At the rate low level PCs move that should never be a problem for a good DM. As long as you know the area 30 miles around them no problem. 30 miles in typical medieval settings could take days to traverse. ALL kinds of trouble to keep them busy in one session.

How long does it take to generally take to set a campaign up

To create an entire campaign from scratch can take months. To get it together enough to start playing? A week, tops.

D&D 5E Tremorsense and ranged attacks

"A monster with tremorsense can detect and pinpoint the origin of vibrations within a specific radius..." A wall doesn't make vibrations. Neither does a hole. So, "walking around in the dark" could be very hazardous.

How many 1st level Fighers can an 11th Level Fighter Kill?

Here's how I DM it. The fighter is surrounded by 10 guys 5' feet away. The fighter attacks the two in front of him. The 8 remaining guys grab his legs, torso and arms. The fighter managed to kill both in front of him but the remaining 1,400 lbs. of muscle pin him to the ground.

D&D 5E Tremorsense and ranged attacks

Yes, yes. And given that ~99% of encounters are with things that touch the ground my recommendation stands.

On the Inscrutability of AD&D and Ye Olde Styles of Play

In a nutshell. Every type of D&D game existed in the beginning as does now. How do I know? Because I've been playing since the beginning in many different parts of the country and indeed, in many countries.

    Is RPGing a *literary* endeavour?

There will always be those few who over think the simple. Role playing is role playing. It has been around since the dawn of time. Children do it instinctively.

Why are we okay with violence in RPGs?

100% correct. It is easy to use role playing in place of social mechanics vs. trying to adjudicate combat without mechanics.

Narrative/Novel D&D...ND&D. Imagine if the game played just like the D&D novels?

Since you left OUT a HUGE requirement I listed ("That is impossible IF you want to play a D&D type RPG.") I will wait until you are serious or, up your English language Comp. skill level.
  17. B

Why are we okay with violence in RPGs?

Um, NO. "Hanging back from combat" means that combat is ongoing with the rest of the party and the fighter is not involved but hiding behind the party. That is NOT equal to the fighter working out how to trick the monsters so no combat happens in the first place. Nice try but you got it wrong.

    Who Killed the Megaverse?

The "you meet in a tavern" predates Tolkien by DECADES in published works. Elves are not a Tolkien invention though Hobbits are. Rangers as played in Tolkien in name and function originated in North America when the British were pushing into Indian territory. OF course the typical Red coat...

How Rare should an Endless Quiver be?

Where does it state that in your original description? It is only obvious if you say it. Next time just thank me for finding a flaw in your proposed item. It is a sign of maturity.

D&D 5E Tremorsense and ranged attacks

Then, since its original inception it has been changed to just another magical vision not a vibration detection like hearing or touch. At this point there is no reason to have it in the game. Might as well give all who have it True sight like ability.
