    D&D General Re-Loring Monsters

There’s no Inner Planes, elementals are nature spirits on the Prime. Demon just means an evil spirit from the Void (super-hell, basically), devils are a type of demon but they still don’t like being called that. One factor in how powerful a demon is comes from how much the evil that spawned it...

D&D General What Classes Would You Add to D&D?

Non-spellcasting divinely gifted class. More subclasses like the zealot barbarian can work too.

D&D General What Are Adventurers In Your World?

One of the conceits of my setting is, because of the ascendancy of a new generation of demonic powers who are ushering in an age of hell on earth, the line between “adventurers” and everyone else is becoming increasingly blurry. Adventurers could very well just be people trying to survive the...

D&D General How involved are your gods?

My players are about to see some, though it will be in a dreamscape rather than in the physical world. And these gods will just be watching….

    D&D General Bizuids and Clercerocks

I’ve been thinking about something similar to this, like for instance “coererocks” would be the ones casting spells as we normally think of it while “bizuid” magic is instead about alchemy and enchanting.

D&D General 6 Core Classes: You are in charge

STR: Knight (focus on techniques, weapons, and armor. Can also stab the ground for earthquakes at high levels.) DEX: Scavenger (not married to the name, but I wanted to evoke “will make use of anything they can get a hold of to survive.”) CON: Mutant (has the transformation based barbarian...

D&D General If faith in yourself is enough to get power, do we need Wizards and Warlocks etc?

Right, the paladin’s power comes from their oath, because words have power.

The Created In Fantasy: Warforged, Clockwerks, and other Magical Androids

I’m not BookTenTiger if that’s what you’re asking, you’ll actually see me liking several posts. That was a great thread though.

The Created In Fantasy: Warforged, Clockwerks, and other Magical Androids

A country with a major influence on the backstory was ruled by a sapient construct designed to be the ultimate king. That didn’t entire pan out, but he was trying his best and made it work for a decent number of centuries. I haven’t come up with what happened to him yet.

More pig-faced orc miniatures on the market

Once you go porc, you’ll want no other orc.

D&D General Ravenloft: Monsters vs Darklords

I mean, imagine if everyone you knew and loved weren’t actually real, that be plenty of a horror concept.

D&D General Ravenloft: Monsters vs Darklords

I prefer Darklords to be the ultimate example of what wrong with the Domain rather than the sole cause of it, so I’m in favor of monsters and villains that aren’t connected to them but reflect the Darklord in some ways (as well as heroes and bystanders that sometimes resemble them a little too...

    Campaigns inspired by songs

Probably not a whole campaign, but one could make an awesome quest pitting players against this lake:

So, what is your Favorite "Villain" race these days?

I’ve basically kludged together different sources to make a new demonology for my world.

On the Origin of the Divinities

Though it should be noted in universe there are many interpretations of the Dreamer. Die think They’re conscious and subtly active in creation, others as a distant and inactive figure, others still as more an unconscious principle or law. Likewise, some see the Dreamer as more of an office than...

On the Origin of the Divinities

The Dreamer always was, and indeed was before there was an always. The gods are the first dreams, the prototypes of creation. Of course, the specifics will change depending on who’s telling. And mortals can dream too. These usually remain unliving, but a fragment of their soul can give a dream...

D&D General Curated monster lists - world building

One of the main things in my setting is the rather troubled relationship between the Mortal and Divine Realms, as well as the Dreamworld that exists between them. This means Outsiders are prominent, and fey and some Shadowfell related beings can slot in as living dream creatures. Giants and...

    D&D 5E We Would Hate A BG3 Campaign

I mean, yeah. Look at all that inter party conflict, few DMs would allow that much. And the tadpole plot hook is so forceful many would call it railroading.

    D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

I get my feet wet with peasant women fighting werewolves: A monster I saw in my dreams once: "Creatures made of darkness" and "Creatures made of light" had some interesting results: Humans vs the creatures made of darkness: "Medium sized" didn't seem to make much difference. A couple vs...
