Live now! Draw Steel: Crack the Sun.

I imagine it will do worse, as Matt has mentioned it’s very likely many backers backed because of the OGL crisis or haven’t actually played it. It’s also more specialized than the two core books. Still I think we’ll see it be very successful. I wouldn’t at all be surprised to see it hit 2 or...

Live now! Draw Steel: Crack the Sun.

And Crack the Sun has officially passed its $1.25 million goal about 14 hours after launch.

    Draw Steel General Thread [+]

I’ve been watching Matt’s livestream from earlier today (not the pre recorded video ) and he mentions that Draw Steel sells hundreds of units a day right now. First time I’ve seen him mention sales numbers (though he has mentioned it’s very successful in the past). He doesn’t break down the...

Live now! Draw Steel: Crack the Sun.

I’m not a patreon and I still use Codex.

Live now! Draw Steel: Crack the Sun.

I’m running the Delian Tomb in the Codex right now. The Codex is in alpha right now so it’s still early and in active development. It also only goes to level 3 right now. Still it works pretty well and there is a Delian Tomb module you can download that has pretty much everything set up. I...

Live now! Draw Steel: Crack the Sun.

If you have people who might be interested pick up the Delian Tomb on the MCDM store for $10. It’s a level 1-3 adventure with all the rules you need for those levels for only $10.

Live now! Draw Steel: Crack the Sun.

Agreed. And even with their realistic goal of 1.25 million they’re probably going to hit it by the end of the day.

Well the codex still is in alpha, it’s not super surprising there’s still a lot of issues with it.

Here’s what Matt posted in the MCDM Discord about adding things to the Draw Steel license (specifically the Summoner but it gives an overview on how they’re planning on approaching the license). “It won't be open for awhile. Many months at least. Allow me to explain. Opening something makes...

Yeah I hope this upcoming kickstarter is successful enough that MCDM is able to do another full player book and monster book kickstarter in a year or two.

The Summoner class and the adventure The Fall of Blackbottom will be available for sale this Friday: https://shop.mcdmproductions.com/ I was watching Matt’s last livestream from a few days ago and he mentioned that Draw Steel is the bestselling MCDM product ever, and it’s still selling a lot of...

Live now! Draw Steel: Crack the Sun.

I’ll be backing this. I’ve run several sessions of Delian Tomb and Draw Steel is absolutely wonderful. I hope MCDM sees a lot of success and we get a lot of expansion content and adventures from both MCDM and the third party community.

D&D 5E (2024) D&D Nexus at Demiplane with WotC core books.

What information was released/leaked about the sales?

    Pathfinder 2 e vs D&D 5e (high lvl play)

Both Legendary Resistance in 5E and strong monsters having very high saving throws that they almost never fail in Pathfinder 2E to both be pretty unsatisfying if you're playing a caster. I'm hoping to get to the first solo monster in my Draw Steel game soon (we've had a few weeks off due to...

2024 D&D Core Rulebooks Off to "Strongest-Ever" Start for D&D Books

He’s totally right that Chris’s statement is such a nothing corporate speak message that it’s pretty much impossible to get any useful information from it since we have no idea how they’re measuring the start.

I must say I’m looking forward to the Arixx fight when my group gets there in our game. I want to see how they handle a solo monster.

I got my physical books from the kickstarter in the mail the other day. I’m running my next game on Monday, looking forward to it.

Normally I use Foundry but I decided to give Codex a try. Codex does a good job of automating the system - like popping something up when a player or GM can use a reaction or showing how far a push can go.

What gets me playing Draw Steel and not Pathfinder 2e?

Our group calls that module The Abomination Closets.
