While I appreciate the opportunity to influence these things, I'd personally rather just be surprised.

I don't object to playing with little/no gear, provided Sparky compensates for this somewhat. I kind of like the idea of (temporarily) actually having a reason to care about the mundane weapons / armor some enemies carry. I'm all for being tossed into a crypt re: lotuseater's plan.
