    An incredible game review article

If those reviewers think those games are complicated, maybe they should try Arkham Horror or Agricola or Puerto Rico. Pandemic and Ticket to Ride are truly fun games that have numerous levels of strategy. They are anything but complicated. They got pounded and rightfully so

    Help with regional Map

Having started this thread - I wanted to make 1 last comment The personal customer service on this issue was second to none. Well done!! The map is awesome. I can now see exactly how the first 2 skill challeneges and travel scenarios were meant to work. A picture truly is worth a 1000 words...

    Help with regional Map

My group just finished the fire forest and will soon be heading towards Seaquen. Great job so far by the way. Several in my group would like a better idea of where they are going geographically - hence my question. Are there any regional maps of the area other then the ones that came with the...

    House Ruling 4E? How common

2 house rules both involving magical items I have never asked my players for a "wish list" of magic items to be handed out as treasure parcels (seems very contrived in a game where many things are likewise contrived) I do not use the Enchant an Item concept expressly as written. If players...

    Dealing with an "oldschool" DM

" Well, I guess it is lucky for you that you found some sheep/players desperate enough to put up with your entitlement issues." This is clear sign of someone who thinks an RPG can be "won" and that the way to "win" it is to min/max everything and squeeze out every possible advantage and argue...

    Dealing with an "oldschool" DM

As a long time DM - if I discovered a player was deliberately reading a module or published adventure that I was running - I am fairly sure that I would ask the player to leave the game. The key word is deliberately reading. There is simply no excuse for that kind of behavior.

Need Advice on choosing an adventure path for some new players...

No real comparison to me I ran Scales of War for an experienced 3.5 group and although they did not particularly care for 4th ed. - the plot and storyline in Scales was shaky. We did the first 2 books and gave it up. WotBS, on the other hand, has a great storyline and many diverse roleplaying...

    Party optimization

Here's a thought - Instead of min-maxing your way to some type of numerical advantage - try to cover basic roles with a group of characters that would have a reason for working together and a backstory to match that. As opposed to some arbitrary selection based upon the idea that we can "roll...
