I believe Kickstarter collects the funds from backers as soon as the campaign ends... I am pretty patient with KS projects... heck, Marmoreal Tomb is more than 4 years overdue, and pretty sure I haven't complained once. Out of the 96 projects I have backed, that one is the most overdue...

By "KS ends," do you mean when you receive the funds from KS? Or, do you mean when the pledging phase of the KS campaign ends? EDIT: for me, it wouldn't matter... but, just to avoid people complaining if they have to wait two weeks...

I have read through most of this thread. There are multiple dialogs going on, so it's easy to lose track of who said what and when. However, I would like to see even more remakes. I wouldn't mind seeing remakes of Planescape and Dark Sun etc. I have only recently become interested in reading...

How is this new book a remake? Simply because it is set in the Realms? I doubt it is a remake of Crystal Shard... which I believe was written for Next. That was actually my first experience playing in this part of the Realms.

We tried playing Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars... and we liked it for the most part. But, I couldn't get over the zoned combat mechanic. It seemed messy

I would be surprised if there wasn't setting information. There is quite a bit of setting info in Legacy of the Crystal Shard that they could reuse.

I haven't played through any of the Paizo adventure paths for Pathfinder yet... though I do own some and have read parts of them. They do seem to be good. I wouldn't mind seeing some of them converted to 5e. I would definitely buy those.

There will be some long faces if this isn't the next book ;)

I am not sure Paizo has come up with an inspiring adventure for StarFinder yet. I have been looking for an excuse to try that.

Legacy of the Crystal Shard is a fun little adventure. I started it with my group, but we didn't finish it. There is a lot going on (multiple plot threads) and it was a bit too much for my group to keep track of. I had them whisked away into CoS before finishing Legacy. I really like that...

For what it's worth, my group really like the Death House in CoS. It fit in well with the adventure too. It didn't feel out of place.

If you read or played Legacy of the Crystal Shard, you may have an idea... hopefully is has yeti... that yeti fight was a lot of fun...

This would be my guess... it is a side project for them. Luckily, the pledge levels are low enough that it isn't a big risk (unless you are going for the party pack).
