I have my reservations about any "inhouse" games. I mean all they had to do was dark alliance 3. Instead we got a very ugly and poorly developed dark alliance with drizzle and friends.

Sometimes you need to time skip. Sometimes you have to narrate with details, sometimes it's better to just say a week has passed.

I'm glad to see a couple psi subclasses put in core. Did the fireside chat quell some of the hate? Are they ever gonna give us a taste of the updated monsters?

I would ask what the base class gets before I look at the subclasses. How much healing should base class get? Some people like to suggest using hitdice as a pool, but I don't like that. I'm looking at shouts and warcrys. I would also like to see int vs cha at 1st lvl.

I for one would love a plethora of dnd video games, if they are good. I'm not even talking bg3 level good. But after they ruined the dark alliance game, I have my doubts that we will get another good game anytime soon.

I think halfling need to revert back to Hobbits and ha e a Took subrace.

I think the "it's still 5e" had to come from wizards marketing. It will be compatible in that you will be able to steal pieces you like from 5.5ed. I think in the end if you run 2 different fighters, one using 5e and one using 5.5, one of those players is going to be falling behind

I think dnd will be fine as long as the new books are not total trash. If I like them I'll probably buy a bundle of the three books and an extra phb. And I'm kinda guessing I will at this point. The real thing I want to see is what they changed with monsters

I don't see myself buying many if any wotc books until 2024 edition, and even then that's a maybe.

I used to own a bunch of FR booklets(?) from 1st edition that filled in info that the box set missed. Honestly they kinda nuked the realm needlessly three times. Hasbro ain't gonna shut down anything wotc is doing by choice wotc is not losing money, hasbro is. Where they messed up with their stock holders is not understanding the the pandemic boom had a peak and ofcourse they failed their predictions for their stock holders.

I think all this talk wotcs demise is a little premature. Are they in a patch of rough water sure. But people still seem to be interested in the new books and hopefully the hasbro execs won't mess things up again. Yeah...

Aragon is not a half elf he is a numenarian(spelling?) Which have elven ancestry mixed in the far past. I hate that I'm nerd posting this but I can't help it.

When a company goes public it's prime objective changes. The only thing investors care about is more right now. So integrity immediately goes out the window. There are so many companies(bioware, blizzard, wotc, and ect.) That are not the same beast that made them famous.

5th editions release schedule was not because of 2nd edition it was because of the development team getting reduced after 4th ed basically failed to make enough money at the time to be considered a main line product. 4ths errata was so bad because they spit out so many books with no play testing...

OK I have not played pf2 but following its development I noticed alot of 4th edition like changes to the game. Some people hate 4th so much they can't acknowledge any good things from 4th. I'm not saying pf2 is 4th, but I am saying newer d20 systems(including 5th and pf2) actually snuck away...
