The Treasure of the Tierra Padre... [Knight Otu Judging]

OOC, okay, I bought a candle, here is my spell component list, let me know if I have to buy anything on the list, other than the candle, and how much it would be.

Spell components and focuses - piece of cured leather, small leather bag and a candle, a pinch of soot and a few grains of salt.

"Laying eyes on the river might settle our plans for tomorrow; if we can reach it by nightfall, I'd like to try. If not, this is as good a spot to camp as any."

"I agree...if we can reach the river by nightfall, we should make haste."

Turning to Oirhandir, Eruin asks "How far would you think remains until we hear the water's flow?"

Oirhandir pauses for a moment, his eyes distant as he thinks. His mount shifts under him.

"That depends entirely on how much we can trust the newer of the two maps that Rupert showed us. Perhaps two hours, perhaps more", the elf replies.

Eruin nods silently, as if Oirhandir's answer confirmed his own thoughts. Turning to the remainder of his cohorts, he asks...

"Well, do we test Phyrah's grace and continue on?"

Calamar the Dark mounts a horse and gathers his silk black robes about himself.

"I am ready, who else do we wait for"

OOC I have updated my character sheet and he has been approved

That was three votes to one with Katherine abstaining for the moment, and it didn't hurt that the vote had gone his way.

"Rogier, I give thee my word", says the elf with a note of understanding. "The instant the sun kisses the horizon, we stop for the night. I've no love of setting camp in the dark myself! But for now, we ride." With that, Orihandir urges his mount forward.

"Very well, we'll keep on riding for now. Hopefully Hyrag's light will shine upon us long enough to river and set up camp there."

Rogier nods and smiles at Orihandir, and he guides his horse into movement again.

You head south, and just as the sun is setting you gain sight of an ancient stone bridge spanning the Roars. The river is narrower here, only about twenty yards across, but it runs swift and deep beneath the bridge.

"Look, the bridge!", calls Oirhandir as he points it out to the rest. Glancing at the sun, he remarks, "...And the timing couldn't have been closer." Thinking that Rogier or one of the rangers would best be able to select a campsite, he looks around to see which of them is closest, then directs his question to that person: "So, where would you like to make camp?"

"This is frustrating", he thinks to himself. Oh, how he longs to cross the bridge and scout the far bank, lingering in the middle to study the riverbanks upstream! But setting up camp in the dark is a passel of trouble, and that must be tended to ere the sunset. Perhaps there will be enough sun left after the important chores are done to snatch a quick view upstream...

"Well," said Calamar the Dark, "if we are making camp here, I suggest doing so on the other side of the river and a few hu8nred feet from the road. However, I am not a woodsman, so whatever you think is best."
