Just two good ole boys, never meanin' no harm...

Yeah, I do too -- too many penguins, all that ice, the subzero temperatures... very inhosptable place.
Yes, yes - but there is that really cool Fortress of Solitude thingy. ;)

That's the craziest thing I've seen in a while. Obviously, such a job, while fun a profitable for the duration, couldn't possibly last forever, which begs the question - how does one put *that* on a resume.

"So, Mr. Bennett, it says here you were the spokesperson for the Dukes of Hazzard?"
"Yes, that's right"
"So, what kinds of things did you learn there that will be applicable for this job?"
"I know all the words to the theme song, I've seen every episode of the Dukes of Hazzard television show, the movie 23 times, and I ran the Dukes of Hazzard blog for over a year."
"right..."
"Did I mention that I'm a big Waylon Jennings fan"
"Don't call us, we'll call you."

And, one of my favorite Onion articles is titled "South postpones rising again". It's a riot.

My motto when below the Mason Dixon: As soon as you hear the "hee", don't wait around for the "haw!" ;)

Southerners have plenty of mottos about New York, too :). But seriously, if you ever make it down here, I'll show you around: having just traveled to Manhattan and Brooklyn last month, I wouldn't trade places with you for the world.

Dahlin' I love ya but give me Park Avenue!

It's not a North/South thing - I don't like Boston (well, just the Red Sox, really), and that's more north than NYC! ;)

You are dead to me. After all we've been through. . . *sniff*

Speaking of Hee Haw, I can't think of that show without hearing the song:

(cue banjo)

Where, Oh where are you tonight?
Why did you leave me here all alone?
I searched the world over and thought I found true love
You met another, and phbbt! you were goooone. . .

...Just two good ol' boys,
never meanin' no harm,
beats all you ever saw
been in trouble with the law
since the day they was born,

Straightenin' the curve,
flattenin' the hill,
someday the mountain might get 'em
but the law never will

makin' their way
the only way they know how,
but that's just a little bit more
than the law will allow

just some good ol' boys
wouldn't change if they could
fightin' the system
like two modern-day robin hoods

*yeeeeeee-hah!

That cuts it. I'm running a D&D game based on the Dukes of Hazard.

You probably could do a decent job of it using the stunt driving rules from d20 Modern. :)

Ya forgot some at the end:

I'm a good ol' boy
you know my mama loves me
But she don't understand
why they keep showin' my hands
and not my face on TV

Ha ha ha
