The Faerie Woods [Knight Otu Judging]

By the end of the preperations, Nars is thoroughly exhausted from the physical and mental strain of the day. "Thankyou, Fasroth," is all he says while beginning to wait for the moon. He plops himself down on a clump of grass near the circle to wait. Normally dwarves can be as patient as any and Nars was patient for a dwarf, but he could not wait for this day to end.

The ritual complete, the scroll is consumed in a flash of fire. Spirit of Gorefoot, come forth! Will you return to the Halfling shell provided for you by Druidic magic?

Strength would remain the same, Dexterity would increase by two, and Constitution would decrease by two. No other abilities would be effected.

Percy

"Oh, Fasroth, you're such a sweetie!" Percy can't help giving him a hug. "You won't regret this, you know. Why would that redcap have a druidic scroll of such power, eh? I'll bet he offed the druid in question. He's a murderous little runt. We're on the same team, you know."

Percy excitedly helps with the preparations. Her head is full of other questions, but she puts them off until after the ceremony, not wanting to distract Fasroth.

General OOC: [sblock]I should go ahead & mention that I will be off line from Saturday 7/23 to 7/30, for our annual beach vacation in Manzanita, OR. I'll spend my evening playing scrabble, chess, and absorbing the latest Harry Potter w/o a computer in sight.[/sblock]

During the preparations, Rodimus does anything he is instructed to. While they are waiting for the moon, he goes through some training excercises before looking for a spot to lounge in.
The monk watches in fascination as the new body is contructed, unconsciously holding his breath as he waits to see if it works.

Not sure if Knight Otu saw the worksheet, but I'm giving the reward now subject to veto.

Total xp per character:

OOC: Heh, at least he didn't come back as a goblin :D

He drops down upon the Redcap, striking a mighty blow. Amidst his mad slashing, he feels a bite of pain in his neck. The Redcap is smirking and he doesn't know why. Then he is looking up at the sky. The Redcap must have tripped him!

Shooting up from the ground with a war cry, Gorefoot swings his now empty knife hand at where he thinks the Redcap should be. He clumsily stumbles back to the ground, finding his limbs to be responding much more quickly than they used to. He panics, thinking that thing could nearly take your head off with that scythe, get to your feet!. He springs back up, and nearly topples over again. He takes a look around, finally absorbing his locale and the people surrounding him.

He blinks in confusion and says, "Where are we?" His eyes widen in surprise as he hears a voice that isn't his own voice his very thoughts.

Gorefoot looks very confused and concerned.

OOC: I'm going to go ahead and play it like he doesn't get to remember anything from while he was dead. It's more like a distant memory, like trying to remember a dream after you wake up.

Ishmael approaches, the cat-like slits in his eyes and the goo on his garments differentiate him from the last time Gorefoot saw the Deep Halfling.

"Calm down, Gorefoot" Ishmael lifts both of his empty hands in a peaceable manner. His tone is excited and relieved at the same time. "Thou art amongst friends. That battle is over and the Redcap has fled, though not for long."

He could not find it in himself to tell Gorefoot about his demise.

Percy approaches cautiously. "Fondar - is that really you?"

OOC: I was hoping for a lizardman or bugbear. That would have been really intersting, & powerful, given Gorefoot's strength. But halfling is cool too. At least he can continue using his same armor and weapons...

Nars is about to speak when Percy asks the very question he was about to verbalize. Instead, he just looks on in a puzzled way, awaiting the answer to the question.

Once that is resolved, Nars begins thinking about how to end this redcap's miserable existance.

OOC:
Huzzah, Gorefoot returns! It is nice that Gorefoot doesn't have to trade in that magic greatsword.
And yeah for a level! Hopefully that extra d6 of sneak attack will do some good.
