Joe Smith (Bartender)

A battered Orc enteres the inn. He nods at the poeple present and takes a seat at the bar. He drops a backpack and a small pile of weapons next to him. Could a thirsty Orc get a nice large ale?
"I do if you introduce yourself." Joe says

OOC: Tavern Rule, you're supposed to introduce yourself.

Ogrin climbs up on a bar chair next to the orcish fellow and orders an ale. "So Joe, what do you have against this Maleck fellow anyway?"
"Well, I've been told if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Joe says, and returns to cleaning the bar.

"Oh, I've heard he pays very well, so I guess that's good."

"Oh, I see--you want to see if you can trick her a little bit?"

"Something like that."
Michael shrugs.
"I'm not very good at riddles. The best one I know is 'What makes more noise than a goat stuck under a fence?"

"I do if you introduce yourself." Joe says
If you put it like that, i'll gladly do! The Orc turns around to face the rest of the guests and starts in a loud voice My name is Hulgyr. Some may have seen me here before, but i was here only one time before. I'm just back from a littile job involving some pirates, who are no longer with us. He says with a grin. After i had my ale and a good night of sleep i'll be ready to go and solve any problem people may have. If you need strong arm and sharp sword, come ask Hulgyr.

He turns back to Joe That be good enough for you?

OOC: Tavern Rule, you're supposed to introduce yourself.
ooc: yes, i know.. it slipped my mind.

"Two goats stuck under a fence." Ironwolf replies dryly. Raising an eyebrow, he waits to see if Michael has a better answer.

"Hey Ros! Priests of Sela never tell the truth! I should know, because I am one! Do you believe me?"

"I don't believe you. And the way you phrased it doesn't create the paradox you were aiming for, my friend, unless you assume incorrectly that someone who doesn't tell the truth must always lie. There's no reason they can't lie occasionally, but not always."

"Yup" Joe says as he slides a mug over.

OOC: You can generaly assume actions of Joe, I just use him to occasionaly remind people to introduce themselves, and also had to do something related to an adventure.

Ashin Hanasisar, male human merchant

A well dressed man quietly enters the Red Dragon Tavern. For a moment he stands still in the doorway. His gaze wonders around the tavern. He nods to Joe.

"Joe. Long time no see. The faces are new, but otherwise things haven't changed much, have they. I'm looking for a little help again. Is there a booth available?"

He returns his attention to the tavern. This time his attention is directed at the faces around the tavern.

"My name is Ashih Hanasisar. I am a merchant here in Orussus and I am looking for a little help. Four to six brave souls would probably be enough. I am offering 100 gold pieces now, and another 200 upon completion. It will take a week or two, and involve some travelling. If would like to know more, feel free to join me over here."

Ashin gestures to the booth that Joe had just moments before indicated was free. Ashin himself heads over to the bar where he orders something from one of the bottles on the top shelf and served in a small glass.

After knocking back the drink, he returns to the booth.

"So, you all know who I am and what I bring to the table. Who do we have here and what do you bring?

Posting Conventions [sblock]1) Please use "talking marks" for anything spoken aloud,
italics for thoughts and
ooc: size=1 for ooc footnotes.
Please do not use coloured text for speech.

2) I am relatively new to 3rd edition and am by no means a rule expert so please post nice crunchy footnotes where possible.

3) I will do most of the rolling, but you can roll attacks and damage. I'll use those results if needed. Roll both at the same time to save time and link to the rolls in the footnote.

4) I am looking for a turnaround time of about 48 hours, which means after I post something up, everyone's responses are up with about 48 hours. There will be some time off for bad behaviour around Christmas, probably about a week or so.

5) Feel free to ask questions. Feedback is welcome at any time.[/sblock]

OOC: Doghead, 2 questions. 1, any particular level you were looking for? and 2, is there a particular reason you don't want colored text? I have a fairly hard time following text that's not color highlighted myself, so not doing it would be a bit bothersome to me. Obviously, I don't have to accept this, but just curious.
