When the chance arises, Beamer will cast detect magic on Nairb, concentrating long enough to try to identify the schools of magic that may be present on him.

"It does appear the original terms of our contract are completed. Would you like to extend the contract? We could certainly help in the apprehension of Idrag and Etan, though regrettably the battle at the warehouse took a great deal of my energy and I would require several hours rest before I would be of much value."

"That won't be neccesary. The second in the guard, Soluc, is doing that at this moment."

The merchant arranges for you to see Nairb. He's in the cellar, gagged and tied of hands and feet, though he's conscious and looks at you with hate. Concentrating on the auras on him reveal a couple residues of Abjuration, but no enchantment.

The rest of the night is spent on soft beds at Koplov's house, getting rid of the tension accumulated on a long day of work and enervating wait.

The next morning your must visit the council house, as a trial must be conducted against Etan and Idrag -a mere formality, as you've been told-. Also Wuld will have the money available and pay you there.

The council house isn't far: in fact, it faces th same square Koplov's mansion does. It's quite large, rivaling the temple of Delanor. Some people stand watching, as you could expect, but far less than what you'd think as normal in an occasion like this, a major citizen and the captain of the guard, almost caught red handed. You catch the sight of Nordal, who discreetly bows to you from a narrow alley.

You're lead through the large front gates and up the stairs to the council room; a large, long room decorated with a thick carpet, a long and luxurios table with heavy chairs and portraits, some of them depicting people you're seeing in the room. Opposite to he row of portraits, many large windows let the morning sun pour light into the room. The men that were yesterday at Koplov's library are all here.

"Ah, the witnesses have arrived. Bring in the defendants!"

Banion will discuss the continuing possibility of a military coup with Beamer and Draig, suggesting they be ready for possible violence at the hearing.

"Of course, we won't be starting anything... but we'd better be ready in case someone else does."

ooc: feel free in that case to ignore the second part of my previous post and do whatever you want. I supposed that was you were going to do anyway, looking at your previous posts

ooc: No, no, I don't want to change any of that. I just wanted to suggest that everyone be ready just in case, otherwise proceed as you outlined. None of Banion's abilities require preperation, but Beamer might benefit from casting Mage Armor before the hearing starts. On with the show!
