DM's: Player's Campaign Book Design Challenge (incl. House Rules)

Emirikol

We're doing a campaign house rulebook design challenge for fun. If you're not to scared to do so, I think it would be cool to see what all of us are doing/working on for campaign rulebooks.

RULES:
1. It doesn't have to be your actual campaign booklet, but can be a work in progress.
2. It has to be in printable rulebook format that a player could hold in his hand at your gaming table.
3. It may be uploaded here. If it is too large, consider a remote download (http://www.savefile.com/)
4. It has to be for a d20 campaign (for example: D&D, d20 Modern, CoC, etc.)

JUDGING:
Everyone can make constructive comments.

SUGGESTED DESIGN IDEAS
1. Sample and Poll on Formats: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?threadid=157765
http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=162483
2. Use a title page and google some artwork (credit it)
3. Use two columns
4. This is for fun

There is a primitive SAMPLE posted below.

Cool idea. Upgrading my Player's Guide was on my to-do list anyways, so I'm in.

BTW, the first link you offer leads to a "File Not Found" page.

Got it fixed. It goes to a simple template. I'm going to upload mine today.

Considering how many pages mine is, I might have to pass on this contest. I will try and compress the PDF and see how that goes. I am rather proud of my Curmudgeon's Compendium of Character Creation, and look forward to sharing it.

Ok, here's the first sacrificial lamb. All you DM's and players out there, tell me what you think of the format and the content AND THEN UPLOAD YOUR VERSION:)

What do you think about the format, content, length (for players), etc.?

I like it very much, but is sure does cram in a lot in a small space. I will upload the PDF campaign guide I write up for my "Second Son of a Second Son" campaign - but it really does not have most of my house rules, making reference to the Aquerra wiki where more specific rules are needed to be referred to.

EDIT: It was too large to upload - so here is a link to it: http://www.aquerra.com/SecondSon/SSoaSS_Players_Guide.pdf

That's the trouble with most people's booklets. They are usually so long that the players don't ever read the whole thing anyways. My book used to be 25 pages with tons of art, lots of useless nonsense, pages of redundant feats (that had appeared in other books by then) and so many house rules that players didn't know what to expect.

I cut my book to 8 pages. Players actually read it now.

Do your players have to reference the web during the game or do you have a house rule handout for them to reference during the game?
