This next post was simply a clarification of Fimble's actions, not a replacement...

So that's a move 20' directly north, and then a crossbow attack (12, presumably a failure) from point-blank (no feat, sadly).

Unless a whole round passed and I didn't catch it. Sorry for the confusion.[/sblock]

Fimble moves up next to Otto to employ his crossbow from point-blank range. His closeness allows Otto to make a swipe with his dagger which misses high. The attack does cause Fimble to make a sudden move that throws his aim off and his crossbow bolt flies harmlessly wide of the mark.

Babette tries to grab the wand from Drezel but, despite his predicament, the gnome manages to retain his hold on it.

OOC: Wow, I can't believe I forgot that ranged attacks provoke AoO's. I'm dumb. =P

Fimble jumps back a step after Otto takes a swipe at him. Whoa! he thinks. You fool! Tor told you that firing a crossbow opened you up for attack! Scolding himself mentally for his mistake, Fimble reloads and fires again. Still shaken from his brush with Otto before, Fimble misses again (6).

Drezel tries once more to free himself from Gideon's pinning predicament.

Metrius takes another swing at Otto with his mace but fails to connect with the agile rogue.

Tor continues to stand around with no real idea of what's happening around him.

Otto stabs out at Metrius, scoring a scratch on his arm. The rogue then takes a step back away from his opponents.

Drezel's attempt to break pin = 11.
Metrius mace attack on Otto = 8.
Otto dagger attack on Metrius = 22, critical confirmation 7, damage = 2.
Otto takes a 5' step to the NE, away from both Fimble & Metrius.
Gideon needs to make an opposed grapple check to see if Drezel breaks the pin, then it's his action.

OOC: Sorry about the delay. Gideon is going to maintain the pin.

Gideon fights with Drezel to keep him pinned.

Opposed grapple (prevent pin escape) (1d20+8=25)

He hammers the rat-thing's head back into the dirt and glances a nervous eye towards the combat between Otto and his companions.

Opposed grapple (maintain pin) (1d20+8=16)

He struggles a bit with Drezel, trying to maintain the pin.

Gideon manages to maintain his hold on Drezel and even gets the creature pinned back down on the ground.

Fimble takes a step back and fires another bolt at Otto, missing high in his excitement.

Babette tries once more to get the wand away from Drezel, but he manages once more to avoid her attempts despite his predicament.

Fimble McGee, Gnome Illusionist

Frustrated with the failure of his crossbow attacks, Fimble reaches into his backpack and pulls out a flask of some strange liquid. He lobs (10) an Alchemist's Fire at Otto.

OOC: Move action to draw it, standard to toss it. Tell me if that hits... I highly doubt it does. Curse you, IC!

Tor is going to take out his significant frustrations on the nearest bad guy once he's no longer stunned. He will have dropped his chain due to the stun, so he will draw his silver scimitar as he moves to the other side of Drezel from Babette, taking advantage of flanking. He'll use a two handed grip and 1 point of power attack.
