The imp replies to Ali with a vile sneer upon it's face in an anfered voice
"Foolish, foolish mortals. You think you know so much. Maybe one day i will make you see how little you actually know. For the last time, you do not command me. you merely set the steps in motion that brought me here. I Do dictate the terms of the agreement which i ahve. Now present the gold or blood in full or decline my offer. No half payment or silly commands requiringing me to bow my head at your blades.
I suggest you to remain silent and not obstruct me anymore until the deal is completed and i am gone."

[sblock=Ali]Ali feels a srange sensation while the words are spoken to her and she feels inclined to remain silent and not interfere with the imp.
ooc: as per the suggestion spell.[/sblock]

Eanos frowns slightly as the imp and the priestess battle verbally, then finally says, "I admire your perseverence, Aletheia, but we don't seem to be getting anywhere with this sparring you've engaged in. We chose to perform this ritual. I think it's time we dealt with the consequences." So saying, Eanos adds the last of the gold to the pile (unless someone wants to try to stop him), and takes a step back.

"Open the door and take the gold," he says coldly.

"It's certainly taking too long consdering what's at the stake, a small bag of gold" says Odno. "Let the fiend open the door and get the coins, there's only so much evil he can do with it."

ooc: while we where to ooc Quarion, he hasn't taken on such an aggressive approach as Ali. I'll grant him making some demands, but not to such an extend that he repeats Ali's words.
As Odno and Eanos agree to let the fiend take the gold as long as he opens the passage Quarion remains cold and to the point. When the gold is placed for the imp to pick up the stone altar slowly starts to move to the side with a grinding noise. Right after this the creature suddenly dissapears is thin air. As soon as the altar has moved completely from it's origional position the bag of gold also dissapears in thin air.

Beneath where the altar stood a opening leads straight down into the structure. It is a smoothly carved five by five feet tunnel with metal bars attached on one side that serve as a ladder down. The sun, your ligth sources or even dwarven eyes cannot see the bottom of it from up here.

[sblock=Ali]As soon as the bag of gold dissapears, Ali feels slightli releaved and she no longer feels the urge to remain silent[/sblock]

"Gah! What was that? You cowards! Why did you just give in to that thing? It wouldn't have used such means if I weren't right! Do you realise that the ritual calling was an evil act that increased the world's evil and law. Why didn't you try to kill that thing? I had to stop because I had very bad luck with its evil compulsion spell. It only used it because I was getting close, you know."

*Aletheia is extremely incensed and disappointed with each and every one of the other party members, but especially Quarion, for being the actual caller of the Imp but being so bumblingly incompetent that he wouldn't repeat her demands when she asked him.*

(OOC: Seriously, if the truth was that Quarion as the summoner could indeed have compelled it to give us answers and he just didn't because Rae was an NPC, I'm going to feel really cheated by that.

And I'm sure everyone noticed, but although she's always nice to everyone else, Aletheia really really really hates devils.)

[sblock=RA]ooc: rest assured that quarion could not make such demands. The effect was dirrerent form a regular planar binding as if was cast by Quarion. I would have the imp be more helpfull (or groveling) towards Quarion if that was the case. It was only bound to offer the two choices and follow up on one of the two decisions: open the passage (in return for about anything it wants, including your firstborn if he'd think he could get away with that), in case you declined it's offer, it would leave right away.[/sblock]

After Aletheia's sudden string of expletives, Odno silently thanks the gods for having a cool and leveled head instead of such extreme and beclouded points of views. He waits the others to decend in the previously arranged order before following.
