Then he leaves the RDI

It would appear not. Elise shrugs. I'll see your monkey and raise you... I geuss it wouldn't be appropriate to summon a horse...

Eh, I have nothing prepared that would be safe for the bar setting. She shifts the sand again. Maybe tomorrow.

Or wait...

Here's a pretty nifty trick, *Prestidigtation*.

He rubs her hands through her hair and dirt from the trail vanishes, pets ligaea with the same effect.

I can do lots of little stuff, If we had drinks I could give them an extra chill.

On that thought, I could use a drink.
Elise calls a server over.
What can I get you?
What do you have?
Server start to list and large assortment of drinks...
Tossed treant?
Yes, Ma'am.
I'll try that!

Would you like anything, Aaron?

"If ordering a drink is all that is required to see a further demonstration of your talents, I will will happily oblige. I have heard good thing about the Inn. Let us put them to the test." Aaron then addresses his server. "I would like a glass of blueberry juice."

Of course

"Well, I am impressed." The server soon returns with their drinks.

Looking from his purple drink Aaron speaks to Elise, "Show me."

Meanwhile Aaron's summoned monkey continues cause mischief.

Elise starts waving her hands in intricate patterns and says in a hissing voice.
*In Draconic*
I'm-not-accually-casting-anything.
She gives one last grand florish, but then stops. I'm sorry I'm just feeling silly.

Like I said it's a simple trick, Her hand shakes like it was cold then she tap the side of the glass. Frost immediately forms where she touched and the drink is chilled to just a hair warmer than freezing. She repeats with her own cup. Bottoms up? She takes a swig from her own drink and sputters a bit. A bit stronger than I like. Using some of the magic from her latest casting, she summons the salt from the middle of the table to her hand to pour on her napkin.

An exited Cesurius walks in to the RDI and shares a few words with Joe. Then he clears his throat and speaks to everyone Excuse me ladies and Gent’s. I know some of you are just here for a drink but I have also heard that some of you come here looking for work. I have a task at hand and I believe I might need a bit of help. Goods have gone missing and the owners is willing to pay if I or in the case we can provide information about the location. In the case we can get it there is a 500 Gp award I imagined we could share. If you are interested come over to my table. He the goes down to the table and takes a seat.

I am recruiting for a game that will be DM’ed by Sudden Dawn
This adventure is designed for 2-3 more 1st or second level adventurers

1. Cesurius Amlyzat lvl 1 rough
2. Gilanthus lvl 1 wizard
3. free
4. free

Aaron takes a sip of his own drink*. "That is certainly very refreshing. There have been many times that I can see that trick being useful."

Elise looks to Aaron with a questioning look as the job is annouced.

Hearing this announcement, Aaron turns to Elise, "I have just arrived and I do not wish to bother my companion. He likes nothing better to find a warm place and sleep, but he is devoted and accompanies me through many unpleasant places. I am not interested in what this fellow has to say, but perhaps you might find it interesting. If goods have gone missing perhaps there is also someone who needs protection.

If you would like, I can walk over with you and listen to what he has to say."

[sblock=notes] First a question of spellcasting. I know that using a potion requires a standard action and would thus break a concetration spell, however I think it is reasonable to assume that taking a sip from a non-magical liquid does not.

I aconfirm that Dargon is recruiting for an adventure that I will DM.[/sblock]

Your companion?

No, if I go, I will be ok on my own. Elise says, sounding a bit defensive. Not sure I like the idea of travelling with people I don't know or havn't at least talked to yet.
They're looking for several people right? I'll wait to see who else turns up for the job before I decide.

"Before you decide to talk with him? I agree that you should work with people with whom your are comfortable, but you will not find that out without first talking with him."

Aaron looks from Elise, to his drink, and then to the still present monkey. "As to my companion. He is a viper, an animal in outlook and temprement. He has given me great devotion, and I want to be considerate.

We have journeyed widely, and snakes are not really equiped for long overland travel. It is for his comfort that I will yet remain"

I will, I will, I was holding out for others first, figured a job offer if nothing else would get them clamoring. She looks around

OOC: [sblock] Two things, as to your earlier question, in the bar flavor and fluff usually doesn't need to be thought out to the action. I believe though, that you could sip as a free action, and quaff(chug) as a standard, much like drinking a potion.

And second my cleric would probly be better suited to the little adventure, but he's on the sideline at the moment in preperation for Rystil's Multigame event coming up. Shame too, he'd love to learn something about mithril.

So Elise will join the adventure. [/sblock]

Bored unto near death with the lack of activity, Saithnar cracks a smile as the monkey runs around the room disrupting things and causing havoc. The thoughts of those nearby seem to become much more lively and amused. Thus the Psion has a smile already creeping over his lips when the elf comes into the room speaking of a possible job. Hearing the pronouncement, Saithnar looks about the room with one eyebrow raised in assessment. Deciding to at least speak with the elf, Saithnar lifts his glass to take a final drink before standing and lighting his pipe once again. Then, with his pipe puffing a small cloud of aromatic smoke, he walks over to the table where the elf sits. Standing nearby, leaning on his staff, the red haired man nods his head in greeting to the elf before introducing himself.

"Greetings, I am called Saithnar. You spoke of employment, though you did not speak of your name when you entered the Inn." Saithnar pauses to take a long puff from his pipe. "I have come to question you on the details of that possible emloyment. May I sit while we speak?"

[sblock=OOC]I'm also in the line for Rystil's big adventure, but with no knowledge of when that might get going I'm willing to at least hear about this possible job while I'm waiting. And if it's a really short one with quick posting rate, maybe it might get finished in time to still join in the other adventure or one of its spin offs.[/sblock]
