Boston EN World game day on Saturday, January 29th

Okay, a bunch of stuff.

- EN World email is FINALLY turned on. So long as you checked "allow email" in your user options, people can send you stuff. It's a "blind" system -- we don't reveal your email address, and people have to fill out a little form, but it seems like the best compromise.

- Sagrabah signed up for Greyrat's game in the morning. "Betsy" changed to "Greyrat."

- Umbran's game details filled in.

- Various food items updated -- thanks, Dave & Tom. Shurai, you're on the breakfast list now! Maybe someone should bring extra bagels/cream cheese so that Carlzog isn't stuck buying for all of us. Also, if someone has an extra toaster oven bring it! I only have one, and we'll have a lot of folks. Greyrat, we have a microwave, so popcorn is a great idea. Bribing the GM with food is a time-honored tradition. Zog, I can certainly pick up milk for cookies - yum. Orchid Blossom, please bring fudge!!

- Looks like we're damn near full. Only one slot free in a morning game. . . wowsa.

- If you have to cancel, please email me or post here. If you're a GM, definitely let me know! I'm really hoping no GM cancels. :)

- We aren't supposed to have snow, last I heard. I'll make sure the driveway is clear in any event.

- I'm at 723 Beacon Street, Newton Center, MA. 617-630-5190. You're probably best off mapquesting it. I'm happy to provide more detailed directions for anyone who wants them -- just email me at kevin AT kulp DOT org. We are a white house with green shutters and a white picket fence that is mostly covered by snow. We're right across from the post office and West Coast Video on Beacon Street; call if you get lost. The driveway is big (albeit choked with snow) but there's lots of street parking, and a little town parking lot two blocks up in downtown Newton Center.

We're very handy to the T, too. Take the Green "D" line, and get off at the Newton Center stop. Walk up the stairs to Union St and turn right. Walk to the cross street (Langley), go right across it, and straight down the hill still on Union St. (You'll pass a Yoga place on your right.) Once you walk past the Gulf Station, my house is the 2nd white house across the street. Come in by the front or side door, whichever is easier.

- Considering how mucky it will be out, we'll probably ask people to take off their shoes while they're inside. Hope no one minds.

That means clean socks, or if you're like me "Slipper Socks!" are the order of the day...but I won't be there, of course. :D

Hey, full table! Thanks for the heads-up! Welcome aboard Sagrabah!
Please e-mail me at eh at bu.edu so I can get you character info- I'd also like to hear from Dr. NRG and Dareloon [sp?]. I want to get the spellcasters assigned so we can spend less time looking up spells and more time playing!

I'll be there for breakfast also and I'll bring bagles too. How many are we talk'n. I was thinking a bag of Lenders since there's so much other stuff but I can handle more too. Philly cream cheese? Plain? no butter?

Since Dareoon has offered to bring the bagels, I'll bring some snacks — something salty — some chips or crackers or peanuts.

P-cat -- how often are you doing these? I'd like to come down, but I didn't catch this thread until just now, and my plans for this weekend are pretty set, unfortunately.

Incidently, I used to be friends with a gamer in Newton; Matt M. We both attended the same college in Vermont.

Cheers,
Nell.

PS - Browsing various old threads, I noticed you mentioned going to/running a canine agility show? My wife attends quite a few of those around NH and MA with our black lab, Rosie.

Figures.

Once again I miss the Boston game day! And so close to me too. I need to pay attention to the board more regularly. Anyway, I hope there will be another not too far away...

Everyone enjoy, all of the games sound fantastic. I'll be over at the Wine Expo trying to figure out if there really is a difference in wine other than "good" or "not good". I am highly skeptical.

Hows about drinks?

Could I grab a bunch of 12-packs of soda to bring? Sounds like the snacks have lotsa coverage :)

Can't wait! And no snow in the forecast!

-Matt
