First Post
Forty-sixth thread of a series on the old classic Dungeons & Dragons adventure modules. It is interesting to see how everyone's experiences compared and differed.

Did you Play or DM this adventure (or both, as some did)? What were your experiences? Did you complete it? What were the highlights for you?

Played this one. Was a total railroad at the beginning, but nothing motivates characters and their players like revenge. After we got aged we wanted to hurt the villian in the worst way. The three most memorable battles, for me, were 1. The fight with something like 20 spirit trolls in the swamp. We couldn't see invisible creatures so they kept coming up and smacking us and then falling back to regenerate while their buddies came up and smacked us. They weren't doing much damage to us, but we weren't doing anything to them. Eventually we flew away. 2. My wizard/fighter (elf) got infected with fleas from some jailor, the party paladin wouldn't use remove disease on me because our characters didn't get a long, so I fireballed myself to kill the fleas. It worked, but I didn't warn the party what I was doing. No one died, but they were a little miffed with me. 3. The climatic battle with the BBEG was fun. I was animating dead ogres like crazy, which only caused more problems with the party paladin down the line.
