This looks like it's going to be really, really good.

For those who don't know, Torchwood is a new spin-off from Doctor Who. It's supposed to be darker, more adult-themed, and stars Captain Jack (who appeared in several Doctor Who episodes).

I only realsied a few hours ago torchwood was an anagram of doctor who?

I didn't realise until it was pointed out to me (by Wikipedia, IIRC).

BTW, I heard that 'Torchwood' was the codename used for Dr Who vol 2 (s1) when it was in development, to help keep it a secret.

Cool - I hope the SciFi channel is picking this up in the States!

The first season with the latest Doctor just started airing here in the states, so we're seeing all the references to Torchwood now (Xmas Invasion, Tooth and Claw...).
