What is happening with Oathbound?

I have always been a fan of Oathbound, GMing the setting and owning all books. In another thread, I was told that the original designer bought the setting in October 2006. Is there any news about what will happen to this setting? The website is still down.

Tom Knauss says that he has the players guide. If the setting is never revisited, would you want this as an unpolished PDF for download? Maybe there could be an Open Project style setup that patrons can help pay for finishing the guide.

Any thoughts? Anyone involved with Oathbound have any information? I'd love to see some of the unfinished material become public.

I wish they had been able to detail each realm in its own sourcebook.

I'd also have loved an adventure that took you to all realms as part of a grand campaign.

Alas, I fear it shall never be....

We just have to wait until Greg gives some sign of what he wants to do. I hope that Tom's work isn't going down the toilet, but one never knows.

I not ready to flush just yet, although I really wish that it could have gone out there. In an ideal world, the Player's Guide should have come right after the core rulebook, but I wasn't on board at the time to express that sentiment. If at some point in the future, it becomes very apparent that nothing is going to happen with Oathbound, I may just email the Player's Guide to select, hardcore devotees for their personal games. Obviously I can't charge money for it or publish it in a traditional sense, (nor do I really care about making money from it), so I'd just have to consider it a fan's work for personal use. When that time comes, I'll post a message and make that decision on a case by case basis. Don't worry Derek, you'll be at the top of the list.

A truly original world

A great world (especially for high level gaming), and a fresh, original premise that could accomodate a character from almost any origin, Oathbound was a standout during those heady days of 2001-2002. I was under the impression that it was going to be rereleased in a new edition? A Player's Guide is something I would very much enjoy seeing, whether as a published product or just as a labor of love.

Thank you.

Not that I want to derail the thread, but what are you up to? I might have an opportunity for you (do you have my email or are you signed up at Dragonwing?)
