*Suddenly, Laynie and Vanitri disappear from the mirror. Then they walk in through the side door. Tenebrynn sees Vanitri, aged by the years as humans are wont.*

*Vanitri sees Tenebrynn, looking much the same, as well as a lovely half-elven woman whom he's never seen before.*

"Tenebrynn, Kiara, always a pleasure. Been far, far too long." Vanitri says. He gives a polite bow to Kiara, and offers Tenebrynn his hand.

"Hello Vanitri. Nice to see you again, and it has indeed been too long. You should know my husband is liable to get holed up in books if you let him, so I'm glad you finally came back to visit, though it seems we weren't in at the time. My apologies--we were looking for some help from Professor Valsice, Laynie that is."

"Well, perhaps Lex and I can help. Lex will probably be along later, but till then, speak! What were you all discussing?"

"Tenebrynn is having memory problems caused by temporal particular anomalies. It seems that it may be a long-dormant residue of the Crux. Have you also experienced a loss of recent memory?"

"I'm fairly sure it's a defensive measure of the Crux when I thought to destroy it, but you could call it a memory loss."

"Well not quite, though it is indeed related to Crux exposure. As best I can tell, what happened is that you were momentarily destabilised and subject to radiation when exposed to the Crux. When you reappeared shortly thereafter and we defeated Sin, we decided not to destroy the Crux because it had become quiescent and destroying it might have been much worse than just leaving it alone. However, it seems that the exposure, which had seemed harmless at the time, has caused long-term amnesia dating back to the Crux's exposure, at least in Tenebrynn. Have you experienced it as well? What about Elektra? She was exposed also."

"Lex is fine. But for me, it stems back to exactly when I made a move to destroy the Crux. Since Tenny disapeared first, I figured he'd be the one to look for, if he was here. Since he is, and he has the same problem, that supports my thought."

"Wouldn't you think the Crux is capable of decieving people about time and events? Would fit what I know of it so far."
