Dayton, OH- Looking for a group.

First Post
I live in Miamisburg and I'm currently looking for a tabletop group.

A little bit about me: My name is Nick I'm 25 years old and have played NWN1 and NWN2 for years and have only recently within the past 6 months gotten into table top games. (Virtual table top with friends I've known for years online.)
I moved here a couple of years ago and I don't know a lot of people.

I currently do a Saturday morning game with Xorn as my DM in a Virtual table top game. (For those who know him on these forums.) I'd like to get a real game going in an effort to meet new people and play more of a game I really enjoy.

I love RP and would like it to be at least have a minor role.

I'm a Rogue at heart. I did a stint as a Dwarven Fighter for a while to some success but I'm really happiest as a Rogue.

A Halfling Rogue no less! ;) I'm ok with Good/Neutral/Evil requirments and would be willing to adjust my race if it was more fitting with the party. (If Good or Neutral I would strongly prefer halfling.)

Any time Sunday and in the evening on Monday-Thursday would work best for me with a preference for an Afternoon some time between Monday-Thursday. (I'd prefer to wrap up before or by 11pm.)

I'll always give the courtesy of letting you know if I won't be able to make it.

DM... What I would like in my DM is that if some one is doing something incredibly stupid that they reap the consequences. If the player was being really argumentative I wouldn't be upset if a giant meteor suddenly fell from the sky and killed the person. (Granted I don't want a DM that's a Jerk either.) Basically I just want in game actions to have in game consequences.

I really hope some one locally could use me as I'm really eager to start playing.

I'd like to keep it within a 30 minute drive or so not much further than Troy nor further south than Union Center. (The closer the better obviously.)

P.S. I really prefer 4E with all the Demo's I've done and would almost go so far as to say it's a requirment. However the quality of the DM and the players is of paramount importance on whether or not it owuld work out.

Howdy! :)

I'm in Cincy, but I know there's at least one or two Dayton groups that hang around here. I don't know what their situation is, but I'll see if I can get them to drop by.

I know some of them go to a store called The Bookery(?).

Thanks for the response I just googled The Bookery and I'll have to check it out. (Not enough time tonight maybe tommorrow.)

The only other store I could find locally was Bell Book & Comic.

Hey mang!

Drop me a line - I'm part of a group in Dayton that might have an opening (well, it will for at least 6 months - I'm taking a hiatus for the birth of another child). With the June Worldwide Gameday coming up, we can make sure you get a chance to meet the group at the Bookery.

Good to hear from you. I sent you an e-mail via the forums and I look forward to hearing from you.
