OK, quick brief on my character. Alex Santiago is a qualified Psychiatrist, who works as a profiler for the FBI. Attached to Violent Crimes, he is most often involved with serial killer cases. He has also worked several cases involving cults, and has worked a few "de-programming" details. As a fully trained doctor, he also has some aptitude for forensics work.
In terms of a team, he fills in an investigation/support role. While he does have FBI combat training, he is not a primary combatant.

I have more or less mapped out the character so far, though there are a couple of bits from non-core books that I would like to use. First of these is the FBI department, from the '60s sourcebook, and second is the Sleuth base class from the Archer Conspracy book. The sleuth is similar to a Snoop, though they are better at dealing with people, and are less focused on technology (I didn't want to end up with a hacker). I can't seem to send a PM to you, and I wasn't sure about putting copyright material up here, so I won't post my character quite yet.

Benjamin Pike has spent over 20 years of his life working at the CIA as an analyst and case officer. And ever since he turned 30, he's been a member of Delta Green. In nearly 20 years of Delta Green membership, he's seen some freaky stuff. He's swept stuff under the rug that most people don't even have nightmares about. Now 48, he's slowing down a little, but he can't bring himself to give up the fight. After all, he's been doing this for 18 years. He knows he's got the stuff. Pity he can't be so certain about his inevitable replacement. Having seen more than a few friend and colleagues die around him, Pike's taken to weaving a professional shell around him, so it doesn't hurt so much when the next one falls. He knows this is an unwinnable war, but doesn't think that's a reason to give up. Sure, we're fighting a rearguard action about forces totally outside our comprehension. Sure, there's more of them than there are of us. Sure, some of them can take shotgun blasts to the head and not care. But hey, nobody ever said this was going to be a fair fight. In a team, Pike's a good investigator and front man, possessing skills in examining scenes and talking to people. He's also a good leader, his years of experience and training serving him (and his colleagues) well.

I'm looking at the Cleaner prestige class from the Fixer/Pointman class guide. However, I'm not sure yet..continuing straight Pointman might be more his style. Pike'll be middle-aged, with the bonuses and penalties included therein. All his classes, equipment etcetera are straight out of the main rules, with the exception of the Swiss Army Knife and his handgun, which are from the Modern Arms Guide. I've included their statistics, so let me know if that's ok or if I need to excange them with something from the main rules.

Andrew Gordon has been in the employ of the Treasury Department for fifteen years. Although he initially considered the Secret Service's Protection Detail for a career path, after a personnel shuffle he participated in a counterfeiting investigation and was hooked. He has specialized in the detection of forged currency and has several more cases under his belt. His life changed five years ago after stumbling across unusual gold coins in a dusty storage room beneath the U.S. Mint. After two years of unofficial investigation and most of the goodwill he had accumulated throughout his career, all he had discovered was that they were collected in Innsmouth, Mass in early 1929 - a city for which there seems to be no official record.

Not long after this "breakthrough," Gordon's curiousity had attracted the interest of a faction operating withing the federal bureaucracy. In exchange for the truth about Innsmouth, Gordon was placed at the beck and call of this group for unspecified services in the future. The admittedly scant information he recieved after agreeing - the censored summary of a raid on a white slavery ring and a photograph of J. Edgar Hoover with a mysterously hooded prisoner - nonetheless convinced him of the patriotism and rectitude of the conspirators. In the intervening three years he has been asked to do a single task for this group: forge a presidential directive staying the extradition of a resident alien arrested for unspecified crimes. The event hasn't affected his career or conscience in any way; in fact, it seems that some unseen guidance from above has actually operated in his favor.

Gabriel’s story really begins with his mother, Sana Maktoum. Sana was born to an upper-middle class family of fairly liberated values (for Iran at least) in Tehran Iran in 1950. Her family fell on hard times as she was growing up, and in exchange for a princely sum of money, Sana, who was quite striking, was married (against her will) to a friend/crony of the Shah’s named Mohammed Maktoum in 1971. As the country descended further into the grips of revolution throughout the 70s, the highly conservative Maktoum found he was increasingly in disagreement the Shah and feeling more and more sympathetic to the cause of Ayatollah Khomeini, who had been in exile for some time, but returned to Iran in the late 70s.

Through out this time, Sana was increasingly unhappy. Coming from her household where women were treated with respect and being thrust into the strict Islamic household of her husband was almost more than she could take. She began to contemplate finding a way to escape the country, for she knew as long as she remained in Iran, she would never be free of her husband. Throughout the 70s, such an opportunity never presented itself. Meanwhile, in early 1977, two major events occurred that caused her to begin more urgently seeking a way out. First, in the spring of that year, her husband formally threw his support to Khomeini, furthering entrenching their household in fundamentalism, and second in October, her son, Afzal, was born. She was determined that no matter what the cost to her, her son would never be raised in this type of culture and environment.

The next year, that opportunity presented itself, when Sana met an American, Peter Rose. They met by accident in the market one day, struck up a conversation and began a friendship that eventually blossomed into love. It soon came out that Peter was a CIA agent and Sana began to inform him of everything her husband talked about in regards to the revolution, which by this time, he was fully involved in. For close to a year and a half, she fed him information, and their secret romance grew into true love. When, on Nov. 4 1979, the American hostages were taken and any one Western looking was apprehended on sight, the call came to Peter that he was to come back to America until the situation was safe to return. Peter managed to get Sana and her two year old son Afzal out with him and took them to America where they began a new life together.

Over the years, Peter retired from the CIA, and married Sana. Afzal was adopted by Peter, and Sana, not wanting Afzal to grow up as a reminder of the painful times left behind, changed his name to Gabriel Rose, for he truly was her angel. In school, Gabriel was an excellent student who also excelled in athletics. He earned a baseball scholarship to Duke University, where he studied International Relations.

Tragedy struck the Rose Family, when in 1998, assassins sent by the government of Iran on behalf of Gabriel’s biological father, tracked the family down in rural North Carolina. Peter was able to defend Sana and kill the two assassins, but he was also shot and mortally wounded in the process. His death was a slow painful one, as he agonized in the hospital for a month with the stomach wound before passing away. Gabriel, who had always known his true past, had always been revolted by the type of treatment his mother had to endure at the hands of his father, and the culture that pervaded the most fundamental of Islamic societies. Now, that culture and its intolerance had taken from him the only father he had ever known. He had always hoped to follow in his father’s footsteps, and this only hardened his resolve. He graduated with a Masters in International Relations from Duke University in May of 2001, and, having been accepted into the CIA, began his training. After the attacks of September 11th, his career accelerated rapidly.

As an agent for fighting the War on Terror, Gabriel’s skills, background, and natural talents were invaluable. He, having a natural proficiency with the spoken word, spoke 5 different languages, including Arabic, Farsi, and Hebrew. Though an Atheist, he was intrinsically familiar with the Islamic culture and society. He was a masterful actor, and could effortlessly slip into a role and maintain it for as long as necessary. Plus, he was one of the few agents of Arabic or Persian decent in the entire intelligence community. His superiors felt him the perfect agent to slip into deep cover within the inner circles of the Fundamental Islamic movement.

That is just what he did for the next 3 years. He penetrated terrorist organizations throughout the world finding their secrets, and setting up stings and pickups when necessary. The one operation that garnered him attention throughout the intelligence community was one that occurred in July of 2002. Earlier that year, intelligence operatives had taken several high level Saudi Al Qaeda operatives, including Abu Zubaida, captive in Afghanistan. They were not talking at all, so a unique deception was staged. The two were blindfolded and taken to another location, which they were made to believe was in Saudi Arabia. There they were given to Gabriel and another agent, whom the terrorists were told were Saudi Security Operatives. The “US” Agents told the captives that since they weren’t talking, and the US would not torture captives to get information, they had been taken to a country that would do it for them. As soon as the US operatives left, the two captives nearly stumbled all over themselves trying to give info to the two “Saudi Security Guards” They gave them a number which they claimed was Prince Ahmed bin Salman, a royal prince, and famous thoroughbred horse owner, whose horse, War Emblem had one the Kentucky Derby only a month before. To Gabriel’s utter surprise, the Prince did indeed answer the phone and left instructions on where to take the operatives.

Over the next month, Gabriel was then able to infiltrate the highest levels of the Prince’s operations, and it became clear that he was a major force behind the terrorist network, providing both financing and tactical support to the group. As soon as he was close enough to the Prince, he poisoned his drink, with a drug that made death appear to be caused by a heart-attack. He was never detected. Then, on the way to the Prince’s funeral, while he was riding in a car with Prince Sultan bin Faisal, he was able to kill him as well, who was Salman’s second in command, disguise it as a car crash, and escape the country with computer disks full of info on Al Qaeda. It remains the single most lucrative operation conducted in the war on terror, in terms of actionable intelligence obtained. It personally led to the capture of Khalid Sheik Mohammed about a year later.

Gabriel has been in the country for about 2 months, having met with his first unsuccessful mission yet, and what he saw on that mission has filled his sleep with nightmares ever since.

Here's my initial submission. I decided to make a soldier to beef up the group's combat abilities, and focused some skill points into stealth. I used a pistol from the Modern Arms Guide, hope that's OK.

Elzbieta “Elz” Olesia Taszyck
Class and Level: Soldier 5
Age: 29
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blue
Dept: Urban Assault

History:

Elzbieta Olesia Taszyck was born in Warsaw in November of 1975, in the midst of the cold war. Elz’s father was a diplomat serving in the communist Polish government, which at that time was dominated by the Soviets. The Polish government was comparatively tolerant and progressive when compared to other satellite states, and the Taszycks enjoyed a good life. Elz studied in one of Warsaw’s finest private schools, and was expected to take a position serving as a liaison between Poland and the Soviets after her graduation. By 1990, the independents had swept the majority of the communist presence from the parliament and presidency, and her father lost his cushy job in the party. Elz joined the Polish military, hoping to learn a trade as a doctor, but was transferred within a few weeks of enrolling to the recently established GROM (Operational Maneuver Reconnaissance Group). She was intended to serve as a translator and linguist. After 3 years of training, Elz so impressed her officers, she became one of Poland’s first female combat operatives, serving in an assault squad specializing in hostage rescue and counterterrorism. She has been deployed in Bosnia, Haiti, Africa, and most recently, Iraq. She still holds the rank of Porucznik (1st Lieutenant) in GROM. Currently Elz has been assigned to assist a new covert task group called Delta Green, organized by the US government. Little knowledge has been given to her about the unit or who she will be working with, and she has been given no information about her role in the group. She has been given US citizenship, and has been living in a modest flat in Washington DC until activated.
