So long, and thanks for all the dinosaurs

Yesterday evening we had our last game before a planned three month break from the campaign. We punctuated it with a 54 HD gargantuan fiendish T-Rex rampaging down the streets of Sigil, eating party members as it went. Four of them.

Glee.

It was a great game; lots of closure, a whole lot of laughter, and everyone got to do heroic stuff. They should all be this good!

Sounds like you had a blast :)

Are there more than four characters, or was that a total party lunch?

Seven PCs.

Everyone got out of the belly. One person had to be CUT out after the monster was dead, but still. . .

The PCs had scried some giants walking through Sigil to a particular person's house. The giants had a dog-sized lizard on a leash. The group knew that one of their cohorts was watching the same house, so a minute later they cast a sending to him.

The sending went like this.

"We noticed you watching that house. What's going on, and who are those giants? Do you need any help from us?

Reply: "YES! GOOD GOD, YES! I'M IN THE BELLY OF A GIANT LIZARD BECAUSE IT JUST ATE ME!"

This has been voted "Best sending response ever."

Once the heroes arrive, one of the PCs has a magic item that lets her switch places with another person. She immediately uses to to switch with the cohort in the dinosaur's stomach.

"That's really brave of you! How are you going to escape?"

"Don't worry, my armor can turn me ethereal."

"You can't turn ethereal in Sigil."

". . . oops."

"You'll have to cut your way out!"

". . . with a mace?"

Instant classic :)

I love it when such things happen, and they don't pop up nearly often enough for my taste. But twice at the same time? That's an insane amount of luck. Congratulations!

Who here would pay regular movie prices just to watch video of Piratecat's game in progress?

*raises hand*

Seriously, PC, you should invest in a video camera and sell tapes of your games. They'd sell like hotcakes and you'd be so rich that you could afford to fly me to the next Boston Game Day on your private jet!

Reminds me of the time a character of mine was swallowed by a dire great white shark while fighting a giant kraken.

Every time I cut my way out and killed the shark, the darn kraken would ressurect him using a Rod of Ressurection.

Luckily, the shark kept losing HD.

Still...I was a mewling baby when it was over.

Sounds fantastic... what level were they?

I can't wait to unleash Godzilla (oops, make that "The Most Excellent Guardian of the Second Pillar of Heaven") on my groups' home city.

I'm guessing 5th is little too soon.

I second the videotaping.
I would love to see one of your games someday.
Sounds like a great time.
3 Months, will you have withdrawal problems ? ;)
