Being an Ohio guy, I hope they make it. But they don't seem to be doing as good this year that I've seen.

Bah. Look at their history. The only reason they've failed to go to #1 in the past is because other teams scored more points. That is the Flyer's only weakness! Other than that I think they're a dead lock.

I grew up watching games at UD Arena (heck my HS graduation was there) and have always been a huge Don Donoher fan. Unfortunately the Purnell years were difficult for me to watch for various reasons (on the court performance being the least of him), but now that he is gone maybe I'll be able to start to tune into the games again...

I am a UD student...Lets gooooooooooooo Dayton Flyers!!!!! That being said, I dont think we have a prayer. Any alumni out there?

Other than me? I dunno.

Are they still burning couches when we win? I'd hate to see that fine, distinguished tradition die out.

Sadly the ghetto is on its way to death. The administration is coming down harder and harder on parties not to mention the fact that they are tearing down houses to build carbon copy houses. These acts are destroying the inherent beauty and unique-ness of the student neighborhood. btw what did you major in?

Hehe. I remember whenever I met anyone from out of town who'd been to UD, they'd be like "kind of funny they put it right in the middle of that ghetto, isn't it?" A lot of the people gentrifying that neighborhood are my old classmates from the 'burbs. Seems to be the hot thing right now, moving back into the city. It's really kind of a reversal of the mid-late 70s "white flight" that created a lot of it, and in fact I know several of the people I know are from families that moved out of the city after forced bussing, like mine did.
