DM Familiar

The Magpie

First Post
I have been looking for a DM program that actualy helps speed up the process and make D&D more enjoyable and I think I have finaly found it: The DM Familiar.

Please go to http://www.paladinpgm.com/dmf/ and check out the free evalution copy. What do you think of the program? Is it worth the price?

DMs Familiar is good stuff.

I have been using the Familiar for quite a while now. I find it incredibly useful. It makes game play go so much faster, and it takes care of the paper work portion of the game that sometimes gets in the way of the fun. It is also very adaptable. I have used it for D&D, Star Wars, Twilight 2000, Mutants and Masterminds, and D20 Modern. There is also quite a bit of online support for the product. Check out http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/DMF_Unofficial_Fan_Site/ for a number of add on files and details that would take a lot of time and commitment to program in.:):)

I agree, DMF is a great program. One of the main reasons I bought a laptop was to help facilitate its use. I especially like how well it tracks initiative and condition and spell durations, and automates attack rolls for NPCs. Good stuff.
