Your DND music soundtrack

First Post
When running a game, do you ever think of having music play in the background to help set the mood? Just very softly so it doesn't distract from gameplay.

If you do or thought about it, what songs would you play and during which situation?

Here are some tunes I've been thinking of:

Town: the music from the Conan movies when they are in town or at a festival
Combat: the combat music from the various Final Fantasy games
Celebration: the music at the end of Star Wars when Luke and Han get their medals
Wilderness Trek: the Last Unicorn soundtrack

What would you choose?

More categories would be:

Dungeoncrawl
Temples
Downtime

I don't try to match up a scene to a song, but I have three CDs full of mp3s ripped from movie soundtracks I own, all for my "rpg soundtrack", so obviously I have a lot of music. I couldn't even begin to build a comprehensive list in a quick post like this, but I use all three Lord of the Rings soundtracks, Last of the Mohicans, Signs, Van Helsing, Troy, Braveheart, Bram Stoker's Dracula, End of Days, the Harry Potter movies, and much more.

Try "The Messenger" soundtrack by Eric Serra.

The String Tribute to Tool is always great for the times when you want to run a spooky scenario.

Evil: Dracula soundtrack, Hitman: Contracts, The Cell
Chases: last of the mohicans track 1&2, Appleseed, The Rock, National Treasure, Pirates of the Carribean
Heroic Moments: Dragonheart, Hunt for Red October, Indiana Jones
Introductions: Kill Bill trk 9
Action: Conan, The 13th Warrior

These are just a few. some of my playlists are 30-40 songs from different soundtracks or albums.

Conan, Willow, LotR, Children of Dune, Aliens, Dracula, Pirates of the Carribean, Gladiator, Kundun.
Looking to add:
Passion of the Christ, 13th Warrior, Icewind Dale

Nice choices everyone!

After reading the word "playlist", it just occurred to me that I could use an iPod or whatever media player I have on my laptop and set up a pre-arranged list of songs, categorized according to the situation. From there I could just select and play the appropriate as the game progresses.

I'm sure this is what all of you were thinking, but since I've never used music in-game before, I really didn't know how to go about implementing it, hehe.

Gladiator does rock, but it almost has to be played in order. Many of the tracks change seamlessly into the next track, so you have awkward gaps unless it's a straight playthrough.

I also use some of the others mentioned here; but for a little bit of exoticness, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Last Samurai are nice too.

In addition to those soundtracks mentioned above, I've found that Midnight Syndicate's ambient music works wonders, espicially for spooky moments.

I mainly use Anime soundtracks. Big O, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop and FullMetal Alchemist. They all have some great instrumental pieces. Sometimes break out Conan soundtrack and Wagner. I try to get the players to pick a theme for their characters too.
