This is my first go at it.
I think you will find it a useful but sometimes embarrassing bird. I imagine something that is piss and vinegar and very content to be a loner. They are undoubtedly loyal familiars but I don't kno w that I'd raise one under other circumstances

The crowkodile is a cacophony of scales, feathers, and bravado. The head and tail of a small crocodile grafted to a bird ranging in size from a raven to a golden eagle. When not hunting it is a loud, even rude, bird to all it encounters. It can learn a limited vocabulary of words (50-75wds) with which it communicates along with its colour display (see note).
Although normally sombre, CrowKoDiles have a magic control over the colour of their plumage. When pleased they will shimmer in waves of orange and green. They have a chameleonlike ability that grants them a +4 racial bonus on Hide checks. *In forests or overgrown areas, this bonus improves to +8.
The have a disturbing taste for carrion and prey in early decomposition. Like their crocodile parents crowkodiles prefer to store their kills for between 3 days and a week to soften them up. The hen finds a lair or digs a tunnel when it is ready to lay eggs. The

CrowKoDile Tears (Ex): 3 times a day a crowkodile can shed tears that stabilize wounds as a standard action. They will reduce further damage or damage below 0 by 1d6. They cannot heal wounds above 0.

FLYBY ATTACK [GENERAL]
Prerequisite: Fly speed.
Benefit: When flying, the creature can take a move action (including a dive) and another standard action at any point during the move. The creature cannot take a second move action during a round when it makes a flyby attack.
Normal: Without this feat, the creature takes a standard action either before or after its move.
