Star Wars d20 is dead

It seems that Star Wars d20 is now offically dead. No products are slated for this year and all OP support has been cancelled for the game. The SW Minis game has been going fairly strong and the miniatures have replaced the d20 game, including its own line of organized play support.

I figured that this would be the case as no d20 support was offered when Episode III arrived, despite a line of minis and TCGs targeting the release of the new movie. The release of the new movie would have been the perfect time to relaunch the RPG as well.

So nothing on the slate this year and no more OP support for the game. I have heard nothing about the Living Force campaign through the RPGA, so we'd need someone from the RPGA to clue on in on that front.

Yes, I'm quite disappointed by this. I would've loved to see some form of 'closure' on the d20 RPG. It's been known for months, and there was some hope that more product would be released, but the website these days caters for most new material.

Its dissapointing for sure, though I guess we'll never know why they decided to drop the D20 line. Are the SW miniatures making more money, perhaps?

The SW minis are selling very well, although I am not sure if they are as good a seller at the D&D Minis.

I thought you said in the FLGS support thread that you had "official" word that the line is dead. This made me think you had gotten word from someone in WotC or, better yet, WotC had finally said something official. Without either of those two points (preferrably an annoucement from WotC), this is honestly nothing more than another "woe for SWD20" thread.

Star Wars d6 is the one true Star Wars RPG. Rebel roleplayers, rejoice!

Still, I sympathize. It is always sad to see a product that folks like go. You would have thought that all of the commercial tie-ins for episodes 1-3 would have produced all manner of modules.

I'm not worried about it, because I have every Star Wars supplement I can possibly need to play any Star Wars game I want, and the minis that keep coming out mean that I have plenty of choice for my battlemats. :) It's disappointing to see no new product, but past more worldbooks on places NOT in the various movies, there's not a lot else to expect from the line, is there?
