First of all, my apologies, but I don't know whether this belongs to the General or Off-Topic forum...

However, I know that some of you did play this character! Tell me who he is, his class, his level, his stats, his alignment, and most important his deeds.

Thanks. ;)

I don't want a single answer, I want several answers! :D

It looks like Thrandir of the Northlands, a giant character from the old SPI Dragonquest game we played in high-school. Even the weapon looks right.

In Dragonquest, you rolled on a chart that determined how many points you got to spend for stats and also the maximum that any stat could be. The more points, the lower the max. Thrandir rolled a very high max, so his strength was mighty, his heart was strong, and he was dumber than the pack animals the party used to carry the loot, and about as graceful.

You also had to roll to be non-human, and you got three tries (you couldn't try for the same race twice). Giant was the hardest or second-hardest, and I was psyched when I made the roll. Unfortunately, in the third or fourth session, I got stuck with emergency baby-sitting duty, and they played him as an NPC. I think you can see where this is going....

The worst part wasn't that he died, though, or that he went out like a wuss. No, the worst part is they kept calling me telling me what was going on in the game, so I could see it coming and couldn't do anything about it.

Excellent!

As far as my own PCs are concerned, it looks like it is Osgar "The Red" Heidrickson, a villager working as tanner, but also heavily participating in the militia, so being a fighter, and hunting in the wilderness for skins, so being a ranger. This guy was noted for wielding a greatsword; he once killed an innocent mistaken for a zombie (because of gloominess in a damp corridor), in his eagerness to fight during a game session particularly peaceful. Alas the DM abandoned the campaign, so I didn't have many opportunities to play this character. :(

As if!

That is none other than Grotug Ur-Handan, the only Barbarian / Assassin seen in my campaign.

He started as a human Rogue from the northlands, who took several levels of barbarian before picking up a second and third rogue level and then becoming an assassin for the now defunct assassin's guild of Srel's Peak.

Str 16, Dex 16, Con 15, Int 12, Wis 8, Cha 11

Barbarian 8 / Rogue 3 / Assassin 5

(skill ranks given below, not modified by stats or equipment)
Climb 8, Diplomacy 5, Disguise 4, Gather Information 5, Handle Animal 6, Hide 8, Intimidate 14, Listen 19, Move Silently 19, Ride 4, Search 13, Sense Motive 6, Spot 10, Survival 14, Use Rope 4

The furs are his second favourite magic item, granting him a +4 bonus to Charisma and a +2 resistance bonus on all saves (treated as a cloak).

Dawnbreaker is his flaming burst longspear +2, demonbane, seen behind him.

After the collapse of the assassin's guild of Srel's Peak, Grotug Ur-Handan now has aspirations to rejoin the wandering barbarian tribe where he was born and to become the new warchief of the tribe. To make the job easier, he's been killing the supporters of the existing warchief in their sleep. While an evil man, he is vaguely honourable and has grand ambitions indeed for the tribe once he has them inder his sway.

Oh! It's Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn son of Bjorn. The the 5th level barbarian my friend Casey played. We never really found out much about his background and important deeds; somehow we never made it past his name.

It's Olgar Shiverstone, dwarven barbarian cleric of Kraig, the god of war, fury, and drunkards.

He's pictured here in a pensive moment, without his signature greatsword or everypresent mug o' ale. Phtoto taken by his halfling sidekick, Sniffles.

As an aside -

Turanil, this is a brilliant thread!

I can't wait for more of them when this one is exhausted.

You did ask! :D

So dear readers, here it is: the second character! So now this thread presents one male and one female. So easy to not mistake, when you describe your PC tell if it is the male or the female one. :)

(This is both the same character at different moments)

Lets continue this thread! Who is the girl above?! Who is the guy earlier?! Denounce yourself! :D

Thanks.

Well well, if it isn't my old Scarred Lands character (in his older years, at least).

Name: Conall Sigurd

Class: Barbarian/Fighter

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral, later shifting to Chaotic Good due to several selfless acts committed over the course of the campaign.

Stats: Str 18, Dex 15, Con 16, Int 13, Wis 13, Con 14 (it was a very high-powered campaign).

A barbarian from the frozen northlands of Albadia, Conall left his home at the age of 16 to explore the civilized lands of the south. Although the ways of civilization were at first strange and confusing to him, his incredible strength and skill with weapons allowed him to quickly find work as a mercenary. Over the next several years, Conall would apply his own savage heritage and natural cunning to the civilized fighting styles he learned to become a very well-known sellsword.

Eventually, Conall's freelancing caused him to fall in with a group of adventurers that included an elf ranger, a human wizard, a human illustionist, a priest of Tanil, an elf rogue, and a human sorcerer. This would be the start of a long adventuring career in which the participants would battle titanspawn, wage war against the Black Dragoons, explore lost ruins, kill things and take their stuff, and all the other things a D&D group does. :)
