Ok, I know someone has figured this out, or has some fairly educated guesses. My question is: when summing the effective abilities of a character, how much of that power is derived directly from X gp in equipment? 25%, 20%, 10%?
A 6th level character has (suggested) 13,000gp worth of EQ. Along with his class abilities, the equipment gives him a (default D&D) effective level of 6. If he only had 6,500 gp, what would his EL be?
Let's say 4 six level characters get captures, and thrown into a maze, without any equipment whatsoever. What a good guideline in order to determine what are balanced encounters? (aside from possibly avoiding creatures with DR)
I've noticed that after 6th level (approximately), your EQ limit increases steadily by approximately 30%
