Depends on what I'm using the system for. For Rifts D20, just about anything and everything is fair game (which is how I voted in the poll). Sidewinders, not a lick of FX is present. Post Apoc...it depends on if the end of days came out via magic or zombies or just your run-of-the-mill nukes.

That's why I like the D20 Modern system. It's so modular that I can take all sorts of stuff out or add a lot to it and it runs fine.

OOh ooh!
Me too, me too!

Same here, though I have to say I didn't vote psionics just because I haven't used the D&D style psionic powers (have used Psychic powers, though), and I haven't done a no-FX game nor superspy.

On the whole, though, that's why I prefer d20M and GT over just about anything else.

Tinker-tacular.

I usually end up creating a new magic system and source of magic for every campaign setting so I checked other on account of never doing the same one more than a few times.

Me too.

I'm just trying to get a sense of what sorts of pieces people are taking out or adding in.

Interesting results so far.

Only four of eleven categories broke the 50% of respondents mark so far:
  • Low magic 73%
  • Aliens 65%
  • Things that must not be named 61%
  • Futuretech 57%
Low magic is favored by a ratio of 2:1 to high magic among the respondents - I guessed it would be about 3:2 or even 5:4.

Given the frequently-espoused popularity of Spycraft and its gadget rules on these boards, I expected a much better showing from Superspies as well.

Keep the votes coming!
