The PHB II and Critical Locations have piqued my interest the most, though I'm hoping CL will be more like Sprawl Sites for Shadowrun than more like a map book with some stats (I doubt that'll be the case).

MM IV is of interest to me as most any monster book is, though I have to admit to being rather burned out on monster books at the moment. Still, it says it "includes sample encounters, pregenerated treasure hoards, and sidebars on how to incorporate the creatures in a Forgotten Realms or Eberron campaign," which I find to be at least mildly intriguing.

Book of Nine Swords could be interesting, but the catalog entry doesn't make it sound that way.

:( Looks like Hasbro/WotC bent over for DC and Marvel's lawyers.

The new title sounds like a game that models movies like Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and To Wong Foo. :p

Ho hum... I keep waiting to see something inspiring. As a DM all I see are more rules/headaches that I have to say "no" to.

IF this new stat block format is the one from DMG II, then I'll pass. :(

Sample encounters...pregenerated treasure hordes...ugh. They found yet another way to stretch things out for the sake of stretching it out. Sigh. :\

(snip) The Dungeons & Dragons Player's Kit contains a trade paperback version of the D&D Player's Handbook, (snip)

Wow, that's interesting that WotC will be publishing a paperback version of the PHB when everything else now seems to be going the hardcover route.

Hmmm, I wonder what the strategy is here?

Yet another Monster Manual. . .sigh. After three Monster Manuals, a Fiend Folio and Monsters of Faerun (not to mention new creatures added in Libris Mortis, Draconomicon, Epic Level Handbook and the Expanded Psionics Handbook), it's getting a little crowded in the world. How many DM's actually need five or six monster books? I rarely have to leave the MM to get what I want.
