The holiday season is upon us, as is the end of the current year. What better time than to add nominations? See the parent thread: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=158714.

NOTE: There weren't too many that piqued my interest from this specific calendar year, but here they are, and I'll add more if I find more.

My top picks for GameBoy Advance (2005):

- The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap: (available at: http://gameboy.ign.com/objects/499/499614.html).
I bought this game online almost as soon as it came out, and it is one of the only games that I would show up to class still playing. There is so much to do in the game, that I can't bring myself to finish it without beating it all. The story is somewhat unique in the Zelda world, and some of the dungeons are quite innovative. Truly a great game.

- Pokemon Emerald: (available at: http://gameboy.ign.com/objects/692/692344.html).
This game took all the innovations from the last few Pokemon games and revamped it even more. The evolution in the Pokemon (no... pun intended) games is evident here and hasn't peaked. Not by a long shot.

- Donkey Kong Country 3: (available at: http://gameboy.ign.com/objects/714/714533.html).
I was a fan of the original for SNES, and this one is no different in terms of fun. The few changes they've made only add to the fun.

- Mario Tennis: Power Tour: (available at: http://gameboy.ign.com/objects/674/674017.html).
Like the other games listed, this one hasn't left me bored at all while playing it. 'Nuff said.

- Zoids: Legacy: (available at: http://gameboy.ign.com/objects/573/573037.html).
Only available on US GBA unfortunately, although it is available on Japanese GBA's under the name of Zoids Saga 2. This is just a nice, fun game with RPG elements and lots of battles, customisable zoids (think animal and dinsoaur shaped mechs), its just a nice fun game that covers all era's and stories based on Zoids from previous japanese zoids games like Saga, Saga 2, fuzors etc...

- Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones: (available at: http://gameboy.ign.com/objects/666/666790.html).
An interesting mix of RPG and Wargaming elements, your complete missions as part of an unfolding storyline. You characters have a variety of classes and advanced classes available and gain levels, use items and so forth and you fight all manner of opponents both mundane and magical. The wargaming side is very reminiscent of Advance Wars in some ways... fun game that can be pretty tough.

Rebelstar: Tactical Command

Remember X-com? Well, this is basically X-com, but Nintendo-ized. That is, the random portion of the game is replaced by a series of canned missions. All the main characters are now children or caricatures. That said, if you liked the tactical combat of X-com, you should like this, except it's a bit too short since as mentioned, the missions aren't random.

Gunstar Super Heroes, good old school side scrolling shooter fun.

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, it's Zelda.

(I have now mentioned all three new games I played this year)

Crap, I forgot about that, and didn't realize it was out. Thanks for the reminder.
